i know Gryphon has a tutorial on his site, which is quite good especially for beginners, but truth be told i sort of figured the point of the FR wiki was for stuff like this? rather than post a bunch of info again, it would be better served being added to the wiki. i've been meaning to make a skinning tute for the wiki, its on the 'to-do' list. Check out the skinning and meshing workshop at www.newpowerinc.com forums for tips on skinning.

gryphons tutorial is good but howd u get character nif with character tool?

uh...you'll have to be more specific on what you're asking, mate. Character Nif's have nothing to do with the skin files themselves or how to make them.

check that thread out it has info on whats skins, meshes etc. are, how you use them and where they go.

for the first game, 64 across by 128 pixels high. the second game its smaller, not sure of the dimensions...
