I gave this power to Captain Marvel, figured that would represent an aspect of the power of Zeus nicely. I think using the Shazam transformation lightning, as a weapon is kind of lame. Hurling the lightning bolts of Zeus is far cooler and looks better. The ranged 5 animations look perfect with the Zeus Bolt.

Now I need decent thunder sound effects for this fx. What are you guys using?

Revenant

I like the sound of Man O War's ball_lightning_3

But if anyone has any idea where to find some sound effect mp3's online, I'd love to have some variety for the different power sound effects...

If you have City of Heroes/Villains then you can extract the sounds from that game & place them in FF - Plenty of cool superhero sounds like lightning, mental bolts, force fields etc...

here are some decent free sites maybe they have what your looking for

Some Flash sites, such as Flash Kit (http://www.flashkit.com/soundfx/) have a number of free sound effects.

How do you extract the sound files E?

PM me your e-mail & i,ll send you the Tool then follow these instructions- after you open it simply scan to C:, program files, city of heroes, piggs folder & double click any pigg that starts with sound name - then you can use the drop down menu to look at all the sounds in the pigg - from here simply click on a sound you want or just extract all the sounds to desktop - they will be in OGG format but thats no problem because you can use a small free program called Audacity found here : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
& convert them to wave files - let me know if you have any trouble with this
