Cyber Burn

Glad you guys like him.  I'll send him your way hoss.

hoss20

Well, here's the Anti-Matter CSA Nucleus. I tried just a regular inverse Atom, then went with a true opposite. You know I didn't think I'd like the orange and green together, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. What do you guys think? What would you like different?

BentonGrey

I think I like the inverted blue and red best, it makes him more immediately recognizable as an analogue of the Atom.

Bumpity bump!

"I'm just keeping this in view, and I've also got another request of sorts.  What existing skins/meshes could come somewhat close to the forces of an ancient Mayan god?  Haha, I mean, has anyone skoped the cuban villager mesh with guns?  Are there any central American native meshes/skins?  I'll pretty much take whatever I can get."

Villains I need:

Mister I.Q. and Gang:
This was actually a really great villain of Hawkman's early on who returned several times.  I've linked to the only image I can find of him.  He's the fellow on that cover with the purple jacket. I'm not quite sure what to skope him from, but probably TV.  He'll need a gun of some kind (or maybe a cosmic rod-like weapon), goggles, and something form of boots that could conceivably hold rockets.  I'd also like for someone to skin his gang, or rather, just skin him with a blue jacket and maybe black hair, like the guy on the right of the cover.

The Fadeaway Man:
A Hawkman villain of little repute, but you have to admit that he's got a pretty cool costume.
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1060

The Royal Flush Gang:
I've decided to try and adapt several of the JLA episodes into my first several story arcs for my own JLA tales, and I'd really like to have at least some version of these venerable villains.  I'll take pretty much any version anyone decides to do.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Flush_Gang
http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/jl/bios/groups/rfg/[/s]
The Awesome Threesome:
Tropedo, Claw, and Magneto (no, not THAT Magneto).  That's right, mega obscure Aquaman villains, and all together cool character ideas who were inexplicably never used after their first apperance.  These robotic assassins will be serving a very different function in my Aquaman mythos...if I can ever get around to doing it.  Claw might be do-able on a Mech-Man mesh, but I'm not sure about the others.

Piranha Man: Aquaman villain in need of a better name.  I don't really know what mesh would be best for him, but it should be something that can take swimmer keys as well as land keys.. ;)
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=882

Matter Master:  I have a feeling he's around somewhere.
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1043
Catalyst:  I thought that this was a neat idea for a character, and he's got some potential to be interesting in a fight.  Maybe a skope of Tommy's Superboy Prime?
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1034

Muse:  Once again, another villain I want to use because of his motivations.  I guess he might work well on a DS hex?

Secert Identities I need:

Barry Allen:
Blond, blue eyed, not too much subtlety there.

Heroes:

Aquaman in dragon armor:  Cyber Burn's skope just needs a skin!  Here are some picks:

hoss20

I guess those bumps were intended for me. :P I'm sorry Catalyst took so long. I've been spending my Freedom Force time updating my hero files and running tournaments. So, here he is. I used the colors that were in the reference pic, but I wonder if the colors should be a little richer. Let me know guys.

Jakew

Nice one, I've always wanted that Catalyst ... i think he is bit redder though.

hoss20

I went ahead and deepened the red and I think it looks better. By the way, for those checking this out: Cyber Burn did the skope, I only did the skin.

BentonGrey

Ahh, very nice Hoss...I think your instincts were definitely right, the red looks much better in that richer tone.  I'd say it might be good to deepen the blue a bit too, but not too much, as I like the lighter color.  It's a little unusual.  Fantastic work man!

garf

Regarding the Royal Flush Gang, there's skins and meshes for Ace, Ten, and Jack floating around the Net, but I've never seen King or Queen. This part really does make me feel like a 10-year-old with his action figures -- I need the set! They're only good in a set!

Cyber Burn

hoss, if you still have that first version of catalyst, i would love to have it.  i think the colors blend really well on that one.

also, the bumps were just to keep the thread on the front page, so please don't feel as though they were intended for you, i know there is more to life than freedom force.  :D

if you're interested hoss, i have a skope for an anti - matter star saphire that needs a skin, let me know.

benton, i have a skope for usil the bowman, he's a member of axis amerika, an all star squadron villain, that i finally got around to converting. it still needs a skin, but if you want the character, let me know.

hoss20

What do you think, Benton? I changed the blue a little bit.

Cyber Burn, I'll send the original Catalyst your way. Don't worry, I didn't take the bumps personally. I figured it was good natured, anyway. Also, I'd be interested in your anti-matter Star Sapphire.

hoss20

Here's the Anti-Matter Star Sapphire. Since real star stapphires can be a wide variety of colors, I went with blue since they're some of the most valuable. I cranked it out kind of quick, so that might show in the skin. I hope not.

Cyber Burn

I like the blue, it differentiates from the comic version much better than a purple variant would have. That works for me.

As for the update on Catalyst, the new blue works really well. Good work.

I'll be taking a week off from FR due to midterms and term papers, but after that, I'll re-skope the Anti - Matter Solomon Grundy I have, since I really don't like the one I have now.

Otherwise, any suggestions for what pieces to use for muse. I was going to use a TV_lite as a base, but the collar and the belt are the biggest problems I think. Though, it won't offend me if someone beats me to it.

H0UR_MAN

i'm hoping that this is alright to put my request here.  i have not yet seen a character for monarch and had been hoping that someone would be kind enough to make one for  :ffvstr:.  thank you.

jtharris86

  I second this request.

Cyber Burn

I wouldn't mind seeing Monarch either. If someone were to skope they would probably want to start with Tommyboy's Anti - Monitor mesh. But other than that, I'm not sure where to go from there. Maybe Wildfire's helmet? Not sure about the belt though. If no one else takes this up, then I'll take a look at this after I finish my next paper.

H0UR_MAN

that would be very nice of you cyber burn, thank you.

BentonGrey

Hey guys, I'm still crazy busy, but I wanted to drop in here and recognize the great work Hoss has been doing.  That revised Catalyst is absolutely perfect, and let me commend you again on your innovative skoping work.  I also really like your alternate StarSapphire, and I agree with CB's assessment, the blue differentiates her nicely, and adds a slight heroic tone to her look.  Very nicely done!

Cyber Burn

After seeing the colored version of the Star Saphire skope, I realize that I am going to have to re - skope it. There are clipping issues on the leg cuffs. And I agree with Benton, hoss has been doing a great job with his skinning.

hoss20

Thanks, guys. That really means a lot to me. I'm just glad I can give something back to the community. Benton, I'll send Catalyst your way. I'm glad you like him and I agree that Cyber Burn did a great skope.

H0UR_MAN

Hoss, I agree with Benton Grey and Cyber Burn, you are a very fine artist, and doing a good job on these characters. I look forward to being able to download them.

I do have a question though. I am not understanding the Anti - Matter Characters and where they are coming from. Though I am familiar with the Crime Syndicate from DC, I am unfamiliar with these other characters. Can you please help?

BentonGrey

H0UR_MAN

Thank you Benton Grey. I much look forward to being able to play as these characters.

Panther_Gunn

I'd like to throw an official request into the (more visible) thread.  Pre-Crisis Teen Titan Kole.
http://www.titanstower.com/source/whoswho/kole.html

hoss20

OK, Benton, I know you've been waiting a while for these guys. I took so long to do them because they have unique body styles that couldn't quite be captured by current meshes (that I know of, anyway). So, here's the Awesome Threesome! I took your advice on Claw to use the Mech-Man mesh and I went ahead and used the Transformers_versatile for Magneto, mainly for the head thingy and the fact that he has no hands. Let me know if you like them or if you have any other ideas for them.

BentonGrey

Hey, those are excellent Hoss!  I especially like Claw, although I can't put my finger on why exactly.  Very nice work in finding suitable meshes for his cohorts.  I would have never thought about going to TF versatile for Magneto, and I have to say that Torpedo is just about perfect.  I think Magneto may need a little something more, because he looks a little bland in the company of his teammates (which is a matter of the design and not your work for certain!).  Maybe if we incorporate the glowing eyes from this cover, he'll have a bit more 'pop?'

http://www.comictreadmill.com/CTMBlogarchives/2006/2006_Individual/2006_04/001081.php

That, and maybe darken the inside of his "hood" to make it seem more shadowed.......otherwise, these guys are just plain excellent!  Thanks so much for taking them on Hoss, you know I've been wanting them for a long time!  Ha, when you didn't answer my email, I figured that you weren't interested, but I'm glad to see that you were just working hard on these three.   :D

hoss20

I darkened the cowl and added some glowing eyes. It definitely helps. I'll send them your way. I'm really glad you like them.

BentonGrey

Hey, definitely!  Ha, I can't wait to set these guys up.  They've got some neat powers that should make them really interesting villains.  It'll be fun to put Aquaman up against them!
