Hmm, the eyebeast is a good possibility...too bad Val didn't do a Quintesson, although I remember him previewing one once....Any other suggestions?

I did indeed do a Quintesson, but it never got finished - I never managed to get the animations complete on it before my old comp died... and my new comp won't run 3DS max r5 for some reason.

If anyone feels up to trying to finish it for me, send me a PM. Keep in mind it has no animations that I remember.

BentonGrey

Cool, I KNEW I had seen that before.  That's a shame about your computer Val.  Hopefully someone will finish this guy off.  For the Martian Imperium he's not a good fit though, now that I see him.  It's just too distinctive.  The eyebeast seems to be my best bet.

BentonGrey

Unko surprised me with a skin for the Imperium which he claims is just a 'placeholder,' but I am quite excited to have it!

I also have one more new request, which should be a very simple matter.  I feel like I need to post it now before I forget about it, then come looking for it in a month.  For my Aquaman campaign (which I hope to start relatively soon) I need Navy personnel.  Many moons ago Bearded released a very fine sailor mesh, and I was wondering if someone might work a little nifskope magic and give him the rifle and animations of the soldier mesh.
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Beardedinlairmeshes3/

KS: Eel skin and hex

Civilians:

Lord Vulko: Aquaman's friend and advisor.
http://www.comicvine.com/vulko/29-3754/

Villains I need:

Mister I.Q. and Gang:
This was actually a really great villain of Hawkman's early on who returned several times.  I've linked to the only image I can find of him.  He's the fellow on that cover with the purple jacket. I'm not quite sure what to skope him from, but probably TV.  He'll need a gun of some kind (or maybe a cosmic rod-like weapon), goggles, and some form of boots that could conceivably hold rockets.  I'd also like for someone to skin his gang, or rather, just skin him with a blue jacket and maybe black hair, like the guy on the right of the cover.
http://image.comicvine.com/uploads/vol/2000/1406/1406-6759-1-mystery-in-space_400.jpg

The Fadeaway Man:
A Hawkman villain of little repute, but you have to admit that he's got a pretty cool costume.
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1060

The Royal Flush Gang:
I've decided to try and adapt several of the JLA episodes into my first several story arcs for my own JLA tales, and I'd really like to have at least some version of these venerable villains.  I'll take pretty much any version anyone decides to do.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Flush_Gang
http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/jl/bios/groups/rfg/

The Awesome Threesome:
Tropedo, Claw, and Magneto (no, not THAT Magneto).  Although these guys have been done very well, I find myself dissatisfied with the character designs (certainly not the skins and skopes themselves), and I would like to see someone take a stab at redesigning Claw in a sleeker, more hi-tech look.  That's right, mega obscure Aquaman villains, and all together cool character ideas who were inexplicably never used after their first apperance.  These robotic assassins will be serving a very different function in my Aquaman mythos...if I can ever get around to doing it.

http://www.comictreadmill.com/CTMBlogarchives/2006/2006_Individual/2006_04/001081.php
Piranha Man: Aquaman villain in need of a better name.  I don't really know what mesh would be best for him, but it should be something that can take swimmer keys as well as land keys.. ;)
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=882

Matter Master:  I have a feeling he's around somewhere.
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1043
Catalyst:  I thought that this was a neat idea for a character, and he's got some potential to be interesting in a fight.  Maybe a skope of Tommy's Superboy Prime?
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1034

Muse:  Once again, another villain I want to use because of his motivations.  I guess he might work well on a DS hex?
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Galactus.asp?UniqueId=1038

Secert Identities I need:

Barry Allen:
Blond, blue eyed, not too much subtlety there.

Heroes:

Aquaman in dragon armor:  Cyber Burn's skope just needs a skin!  Here are some picks:

BentonGrey

I'm sensing a pattern here....BUMP!

BentonGrey

Alright, I've actually got something new to add here!  The creation of an excellent skope for Volstagg made me think of a character that I hadn't considered, and wonder upon wonders, I also came to a point in my JLA base screens where it would be helpful to have him.  I am hoping someone might be willing to skope a swimming-key-capable Lord Vulko for me:

http://www.comicvine.com/vulko/29-3754/

He is Aquaman's confidant and advisor, and often his regent.  I could really use him to give Aquaman someone to play off of in a cutscene, other than just a faceless guard.

BentonGrey

Sooooo...........necro-bump!  Also, since I've made my decision about what the final campaign for DCUG will be (been too busy with the start of the semester to do too much work on it, though), I have found myself in need of a skin or mesh to fit a character integral to the said campaign.  I'm not saying what that campaign will be...I think it will be more fun if it is a surprise, but this character may give it away to those of you with encyclopedic comic knowledge.  I don't think I'm going to need a skin made, or anything.

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/marvel_dc/images/thumb/e/e1/Byth_01.jpg/200px-Byth_01.jpg

His name is Byth, and I certainly don't need a pants-less version just like this, but I would like something bald and semi-futuristic/alien.  Any suggestions about what originals or other characters might fit this bill?

UnkoMan

Do you need that skin right away?

If you can stand to get it in maybe a couple months from now... THEN I AM DOING IT. It's just so friggin' ridiculous looking. I love it.

BentonGrey

Haha, sorry Unko, but I'm afraid I'll need him pretty soon here.  Ha, also, that Who's Who page entry is, like I said, a little too pants-less for me. ;)  Thanks for the offer, though!

:EDIT: Well...I have a possibility.  I went to my old standby for whenever I need a mesh or skin for a minor character.  I checked Tommyboy's Marvel section, and I think I have something that will work.  The Red Ghost, with his hair hexed off, looks sufficiently bald, and futuristic.  If anyone is just dying to do a skin, then I'll happily accept, but otherwise, I think the standard skin looks just fine.

UnkoMan

Oh, alright. You win, this time. I'll let his pantsless glory fade from my mind for now.

laughing paradox

I noticed you have the Royal Flush Gang crossed off on your list...

Please to elaborate? ;)

BentonGrey

Haha, okay Unko. ^_^  LP, RMT was kind enough to do the Royal Flush Gang for me.

Hey, that's great. Is it the comic book version or more from the animated series?

BentonGrey

It was the comic versions, although they are set up in the DCUG as something of a synthesis of several versions.

Did he post those somewhere (as I've obviously not seen a mention of it), and are they  :ff: compatible?

I guess I didn't.  They would have been at

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/riddlemethismeshes1

but all I see is HiJack (the SSOSV version of Jack that I used to start the RFG).  I will try to post them tomorrow.  I just got off a 12 hour flight, so I'm a bit knackered.

They will be FF1 only as I abhor  :ffvstr:  .  If someone needs FF2 versions, I believe I was able to get Benton converted ones for use in his mod, so you can get them when the next version of it comes out.

The costume look was taken from Who's Who, modified to accommodate by poor skinning.

BentonGrey

Sorry PG, I didn't mean to ignore your post, I just got busy.  If you still need those guys for FF2 let me know, and I'll try and find some time to package them up.  Also, I'm still in need of a Vulko at some point in time.

BentonGrey

Bu-bu-bu-bump!

Hey Bent, I seem to have lost my Eel hex somewhere. But it shouldn't take much to throw one together. Do you want a swimming version, a land version, or both? As far as Matter Master goes I have a skin and a hex. But I am trying to make it to where he travels atop a flying rock. So if you need him soon I can forgo my strugles with the flying rock part.

BentonGrey

Hey man!  Yeah, a swimming and land version of the Eel would be for the best.  As long as you use a male_basic base, he should be compatible with both.  Ohh man...I would really love to see Matter Master flying on his rock, and we've still got some time, so don't let me interrupt your work. ^_^

Not just a bump, but a legitimate addendum as well!  I have been doing a little house cleaning in my severely limited free time of late, fixing bugs, testing characters, finding portraits, etc., and I have come across something for which I need help.  I eventually would like to have every character in the DCUG sport a portrait from the comics.  This isn't always possible, but I have already made vast progress.  I have come up against a wall, though.  The henchmen of The Key, the Keymen, are a cipher that I can't find online.  I know someone here on the boards has the JLA issue they show up in as it was posted on the boards before they went kaput, so if a scan could be arranged, I could get the portrait.

Are you referring to the scans I made to his last JLA appearance in his classic form, where Z cures him of his strange dwarfism, sacrificing the bulk of her magic powers?  I was pretty sure that post was in this thread, and KSSaints used it as somewhat of a base for the skins he made of them.  I'd dig up the particular image, but haven't replaced the computer yet, and didn't have a backup of all of the file paths of everything I've sent to imageshack.  I *do* have the scans backed up, though, in case you have difficulty finding something workable, but I recall there not being much to work with in those scans (or that issue in general).

edit:  in fact, check page two of this thread.  ^_^

BentonGrey

D'oh!  Thanks PG, I thought for sure that it had gotten lost.

bearded

i did a vulko.  i made him from male basic, a little shorter, and rounder, but not as round as male rotund.  all the hair, and the manowar keyframes.  i'll upload him very soon.  no skin for him yet.

BentonGrey

Bearded, that comes out of nowhere!  Ha, thanks man!  I've just checked the mesh out, and it is picture perfect.  You got it exactly right, down to the beard and the spare tire.  Fantastic work!
