I agree about the cape, Benton. I was actually thinking the exact same thing when I was skinning him. I'll see what I can do about switching the cape. Also, I started on the Royal Flush Gang and was thinking about putting Ace on the male_rotund2 mesh. Is that appropriate or did you have just a normal mesh in mind? The reason I ask is that I know you wanted mentalist keyframes and I found Tommyboy's headblaster_keyframes. They seem to work real well, except I can't convert them to the male_rotund2 mesh. I've used m25's keyframe transfer program to change both the male_rotund and male_basic keyframes, but the changes don't seem to transfer in Character Tool. I can see the changes when I load them in the transfer program as well as Nifskope. They just don't register in the Character Tool.

BentonGrey

Hey Hoss, glad you thought that too.  Hmm...I think just a regular guy should be fine.  I'm glad you're taking on the Royal Flush guys, they are a good set of villains. :D

Ohh, and just to make sure the list stays in place--

A new request, as I discovered a cool villain I had overlooked!  Plus, I'm going to trim out the fat by deleting the fulfilled requests.

"I'm just keeping this in view, and I've also got another request of sorts.  What existing skins/meshes could come somewhat close to the forces of an ancient Mayan god?  Haha, I mean, has anyone skoped the cuban villager mesh with guns?  Are there any central American native meshes/skins?  I'll pretty much take whatever I can get."

Villains I need:

Mister I.Q. and Gang:
This was actually a really great villain of Hawkman's early on who returned several times.  I've linked to the only image I can find of him.  He's the fellow on that cover with the purple jacket. I'm not quite sure what to skope him from, but probably TV.  He'll need a gun of some kind (or maybe a cosmic rod-like weapon), goggles, and something form of boots that could conceivably hold rockets.  I'd also like for someone to skin his gang, or rather, just skin him with a blue jacket and maybe black hair, like the guy on the right of the cover.
http://image.comicvine.com/uploads/vol/2000/1406/1406-6759-1-mystery-in-space_400.jpg
The Fadeaway Man:
A Hawkman villain of little repute, but you have to admit that he's got a pretty cool costume.
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1060
The Royal Flush Gang:
I've decided to try and adapt several of the JLA episodes into my first several story arcs for my own JLA tales, and I'd really like to have at least some version of these venerable villains.  I'll take pretty much any version anyone decides to do.

http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/jl/bios/groups/rfg/

The Awesome Threesome:
Tropedo, Claw, and Magneto (no, not THAT Magneto).  That's right, mega obscure Aquaman villains, and all together cool character ideas who were inexplicably never used after their first apperance.  These robotic assassins will be serving a very different function in my Aquaman mythos...if I can ever get around to doing it.  Claw might be do-able on a Mech-Man mesh, but I'm not sure about the others.

Piranha Man: Aquaman villain in need of a better name.  I don't really know what mesh would be best for him, but it should be something that can take swimmer keys as well as land keys.. ;)
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=882
Matter Master:  I have a feeling he's around somewhere.
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1043
Catalyst:  I thought that this was a neat idea for a character, and he's got some potential to be interesting in a fight.  Maybe a skope of Tommy's Superboy Prime?
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Character.asp?UniqueId=1034
Muse:  Once again, another villain I want to use because of his motivations.  I guess he might work well on a DS hex?
http://www.rapsheet.co.uk/RapSheetMain/Galactus.asp?UniqueId=1038

Secert Identities I need:

Barry Allen:
Blond, blue eyed, not too much subtlety there.

Heroes:

Aquaman in dragon armor:  Cyber Burn's skope just needs a skin!  Here are some picks:

Here's Fadeaway Man with a transplanted cape. I couldn't get the angle right and the cape is shorter than it should be. On the right is the Tom_versatile mesh with the long cape. I think it looks better, but I really hate the way his buttons look on this mesh.

While the RFG wasn't my request (even if I did heartily second it), would it be possible to get flying animations for them (if they're going to be hexes or skopes) to be them riding flying cards, a la Silver Surfer?  I know the three "royalty" rode cards, but I'd have to take a quick look to see if Ace & 10 rode their own or not.  As an option, if they're all on the cards, they don't all have to stand.....one or two could kneel while they ride, with some hover ranged anims being from a standing position, some from kneeling.  Just a thought.

BentonGrey

Hmm.......I definitely think you're right, the TV version just looks better, proportions wise.  The distortion is troublesome, but I think it's worth it.

While flying on cards would be awesome, I imagine that would be a difficult thing to arrange because of KF issues.

hoss20

I was thinking about the flying cards also, but I'll admit, I'm only so-so at Nifskoping. Plus, keyframes are a whole other monster I'm not equipped to tackle. If anyone else is interested, let me know and I'll fill you in on what keyframes I'm using.

TAP43

I'm working on the royal flush gang, I made a card in Gmax and skoped it on to Tommyboys Static shock mesh. I have been having a problem finding a mesh with sleaves built in to the mesh, I tried using Tommyboy's but it did not look right although I may try again. I still have to see if I can make the crown in Gmax as well. Also need to find the right part for the chest piece as well. But I hope to have something in a month or so. So wish me luck :D

hoss20

Hey, Benton, I've got another one for you. Here's Piranha Man complete with swimmer keyframes.

BentonGrey

Hey Tap, if you can pull that off, I'll definitely include them.  It would be quite awesome to have card-flying RF gangers.

Hoss, great work man!  I'm not sure about that loin cloth thing though...(I've only seen that one image of him, so I'm guessing you're more familiar than I am, ha!)  Let's lose that, and bring his gold armored leggings up more, like regular pants.  Maybe we could put more segments into them as well.  Nice job with the 'gold look.'  Also, great job on his arm fins, I'm glad you didn't leave those out as they enhance his freakish appearance.  Hmm....I think we should also see a few of the ridges he has above his brow, like a series of inverted V's, huh?  What do you think?  Ohh, and I LOVE that you got him to have swimmer keys...what mesh is that?  Is that a VX?

hoss20

I was originally going to use a VX mesh, but I didn't think there were any swimmer keyframes for them. It's actually a Tom_versatile with the extra muscularity "turned on." Sorry about the loin cloth, but I was looking for other reference pictures and all I came across was the cover from issue #57 and that had the loin cloth. I'll make the changes you requested and repost.

hoss20

Here he is again, with the changes you requested.

BentonGrey

Ahh, fantastic....I love those angry, soulless eyes Hoss.  What if that band of gold at the bottom of his stomach is replaced by a belt of somekind?  Some kind of mockery of Aquaman's?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquaman

Maybe in purple, like that loincloth that you had on the first one?  What do you think?

hoss20

What do you think, Benton?

BentonGrey

Hey hey hey!  I think "perfect!"  Great job Hoss, I'm glad to see that guy finished, and I love your choice of mesh.

Since I would love to have an RFG as well, can I suggest someone make them out of Hi Jack (RFG Jack gone solo, from SSOSV)?  He has the card, the crown, the gun, etc. -- probably would serve well for King and Jack at a minimum.  I put him up in my group as it says it's from Alex's but the only version I saw there was a non-carded one in KennX's section; this one is by Crusader from 2004.

My request: if you use this as a base, could you please make them available BEFORE conversion?  I only play FF1 at this point.  Thanks.

Cyber Burn

This is the skope of FLASH_22798's Anti - Matter Ivodroid (Amazo).  Re - skoped to a tv- fingers mesh and converted to FFvt3R. Since i can't skin very well, iff anyone is interested in skinning this.  Please let me know, and I'd be happy to send this out. Thanks.

hoss20

I've got plenty of time on my hands and wouldn't mind taking a crack at skinning him. Are there any reference pictures or is this an original interpretation of the character (forgive me, as I'm not as familiar with DC as I am with Marvel). That's a nice looking skope by the way. I realize I'm not the best skinner here, but I wouldn't mind taking on this guy.

Cyber Burn

From what Flash told me way back when, the Ivodroid is an original character based on on his other CSA/Anti-matter skopes.  Amazo, however, the character that the Ivodroid is the Anti - matter counter part to, is an actual DC character.  I'm not sure what Flash completely had in mind as far as skin design when he originally skoped this guy, but the pattern that I have noticed with him is the the colors are consistant with the base character.  If you send me a pm with your e-mail, I'll send this your way sometime this week.

BentonGrey

RMT: I think that's an excellent idea, for what it's worth, but you should probably send TAP a PM, because I don't know how often he checks this thread.  That would be great, we could be a big step closer to a flying RFG!

CB: Man!  I love that Ivodroid, the wings are a really nice touch.  I like how it integrates bits of the other CSA characters.

Hoss, as for the Ivodroid, well, as CB noted, he is based on Amazo.  Here are some resources to help you if you want to take him on:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_Syndicate (I imagine he'd have elements of these guys)

And here is the fella he is the opposite number to:

rmt

Consider it done.  Cuz it is...   ^_^

hoss20

Well, here's the Anti-matter Ivodroid. First, I went with an Amazo version in green, then I went with an anti-Amazo in red(green's complementary color), then I just went with a version that had some components of the CSA. I'm open to suggestions.

BentonGrey

Hmm....I think that the red one is my favorite, but I would like to hear what others think.  I like the reflection it gives of Amazo's color scheme.  I have to say Hoss, I think these are the best skins I've seen from you yet.  They are all fantastic! ^_^

garf

Looking at all the Ivo-Droids feels a bit like they're all on offer at a new-car lot. "I like the blue, honey, what do you think?"

Cyber Burn

I am really impressed with all three.  Personnally I could see this as going with a random skin setting.  Great job hoss.  If your interested in another character, check this thread:

http://freedomreborn.net/archive/index.php?topic=42163.90

and let me know if you're interested in skinning The Nucleus.

hoss20

I'm glad you like the skins, guys. If you like all three, Cyber Burn, then I'll send them all to you. I'd love to tackle "The Nucleus" and am flattered that you would ask me to give him a try. Send him my way and I'll see what I can come up with.

Cyber Burn

Thanks hoss. I'll send Nucleus your way this weekend.

Cyber Burn

I was looking at Catalyst, I was thinking about skoping him, but I'm not sure where to pull the head from, any suggestions?

Cyber Burn

I had to take a little bit of creative license with Catalyst, but I think I pretty much hit the main points.  I ended up taking the helmet from Valandar's EldarGuardian mesh. If anyone wants to skin this, let me know, and I'll send it out.

BentonGrey

Haha!  CB, I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a helmet that looked right for him, but I had drawn a blank.  That's absolutely perfect though.  I mean, it may not match the picture exactly, but it has the same feel, and it looks great!  You nailed him! ^_^

hoss20

I'll skin him if no one has any objections. I was going to skope him as well, but couldn't find the right helmet, either. Nice job, Cyber Burn.
