That's correct as far as I've found, IPS.  Most characters are male_basic based, and the male_cape/male_belt doesn't differ enough from it to be distorted.  Thankfully most meshers started out with Irrational's male)_basic and female_basic so most everything is compatible.

The only problems I've run into have been VX meshes vs. male_ and female_basic of course, and the Timmverse meshes by Volsung need to have keyframes exported from Max files -- otherwise there is some mild distortion.  Volsung is working on that though... the plan is to have some new sets of keys for each Timmverse mesh.  For now these are based on the Irrational keyframes.

Heeeerrrrrrreeeesss Harry!!:

Wow... Fantastic adaptation of the action figure into mesh form.

Any chance you are going to do more of the "movie" inspired action figures that come out with the Classic line? Such as Rhino (who looks like the Ultimate universe cyborg counterpart), Kraven (looks like a TV show animal wrangler), or Scorpion (which is wearing the cyber armor with the barbed tail)?

As you wish...  :D

I just liked some of the new takes on these characters using the "ultimate" theme since they seemed to want to merge them into the Spider-Man 3 toy line up. Anyway..

Kraven: http://www.hasbro.com/common/images/products/6953034f57f8_main400.jpg
Note: I love this version because it's less about the goofy costume and more about the hunting tools he carries with him to complete his mission. Plus he has a bullwhip, big machete on his back, and a knife on his chest.

Scorpion: http://www.hasbro.com/common/images/products/694754d6041_main400.jpg
Note: This version I believe is based on a very short lived cyber costume that Scorps had in the comic but was used for his appearance in the Spider-Man movie video games.

Rhino: http://www.hasbro.com/common/images/products/694804dae61_main400.jpg
Note: Okay, they pretty much copied the cybernetic version from the Ultimate universe as well as the recent Ultimate Spider-Man video game but it seems more logical to me that Rhino would be slightly bigger then the Male_Juggernaut size with lots of mechnical add-ons.

Well, I'm just throwing out mesh ideas anyway since I think these alternate looks for these characters would be pretty popular as hexed characters.

hmm king greyskull or he-man

just curious anyone know how to swap a gun from a one mesh to another, i'm trying to transfer a gun from the phantom mesh to my av's mesh. but the gun doesnt seem to appear in any animation

Monkeyman

Does it show up in nifskope? and did you attach the gun to the proper node?

Showing the real heroes out there some love. I likes!

GhostMachine

1.
A hex of Ink's Black Canary mesh; I got rid of the jacket sleeves and the disk below the belt, added extra hair (from Ink's She-Hulk mesh - and its probably hard to tell the hair is any different due to the color of hair on the skin in the pic....) and thigh high boot points (from Tommy Boy's female_versatile) and changed the keyframes to IPS' Rogue kfs for female_basic. I was going to use Grenadier's fighter keyframes for female_basic, but they didn't work......I will be replacing the keyframes with others, eventually.
(Ignore the skin; its a work in progress and intended for something else - the belt and jacket are recolored versions of the extras that came with the mesh, and I only recolored them to look better with that skin in the pic I posted)

2.
male_2hammers hexed to male_2lightsabers. (Skin pictured came with the original mesh - all I did skinning-wise was recolor the lightsaber blades to blue)
Here is my first attempt. For you Guardian of the Galaxy fans. That's right SS with Quantum Bands.   PHEW!!!
It's missing a piece. Any suggestions for the cape.

cybersavior

credit to Tommy boy for the original warmachine mesh, got the missile pack from valandars scopedog mesh and part of the gattling gun from the creator of the Action_figure_Xcom_light_cannon mesh

Credit to SHEVEK for Deadpool mesh and Grenadier for the replacement guns

Podmark

You need to send me, or help me out somehow with that Warmachine skope. FLASH_22798 sent me an Iniative Warmachine hex but he couldnt get the weapons added, and I haven't really had a chance to do anything with it. If I sent you the hex could you add them?

cybersavior

I could try but I have to tell you these were my first two skoping attempts. I am still learning myself

the_ultimate_evil

cybersavior, how did you replace the guns on the deadpool, i've been trying to do that for ages with the guns from the phantom with no luck

Alphanaut

Skoped together a more bumbling Bizzaro using Renegade's Earth-2 Superman and Tommyboy's Lizard_tvlite. The skin in the screens is by the_ultimate_evil.

I've tried to do something similar with a sword. What I did was simply copy the editable_mesh part from desired mesh and paste it within the desired branch. For example: if you want to take pistol0 from mesh A and use it to replace gun01 on mesh B, you can copy the Editable_mesh branch from pistol0 and paste it with in the gun01 branch.

Carravaggio

Alphanaut, that Bizarro 'skope is pure gold! What a great idea

cripp12

Here is Charlie-27 from GOTG. Added and enlarged gun.  I copyed a keyframe from TJ's combat armor mesh but the keyframe is not showing up after I saved it as keyframe.  Anyone know why.

detourne_me

sweet Bizrro Idea!

as For Charlie 27.  I imagine that the keyframes wont work, becaust they're not male heavy compatible....  what if you were to skope the male heavy into Jik's combat armor mesh?  that may work,   you'll get all the keyframes,  but i don't know what it will do to charlies proportions...   you may want to look for TJ's gorilla with a chain gun,  there might be some interesting keyframes for you there.

cripp12

ok I stuck charlie on the chaingun mesh and stuck the gun on that.  I also shrink it down. I used the mesheditor to extend his width .
What to you think of the his size.
