gren has said yes

UE: When did this happen?  And thanks for letting us know.

Every1 else:  For more information on current permissions check here http://frworld.wikispaces.com/Nifskope+Permission+List.

And believe me, folks, if I can do this (at any level of competence) -- any one can learn it.  And it only took me a week at an hour or so of  :banghead: effort per day.  Then it's just skoping meshes to get better.  It's a load of fun to do.  I recommend it to every1.

PS:  At the risk of redundancy...Thanks to Gren and all the others for all their hard work (whether allowing skoping or not).  I for one appreciate it alot!

pps (Cassanova):  Nice Iron Fist.

3ps:  I think that it shows the compassion and dignity of this group to decide to leave Web Rider/ Cap. Carrot's unaltered, and I vote that we keep it that way.  His marvelous work is a testament to his love of the game.

what happened to web rider?

I don't remember the exact story (and the bits and pieces I do remember from the thread off of the last version of FR I won't disclose here), but Capt. Carrot has passed on to a higher plane, so to speak.

Renegade

The poor kid was involved with a accident with a truck and his brand new moped, if I remember correctly. Pretty sad really.

The Hitman

Gosh... I remember that. I had just joined when it happened. It's a real shame.

Anyways, I've decided to alter my Arthur Skope so it doesn't use any of his pieces. Any ideas for his ears/antennae?

I'm really sorry to hear that.

RE: Web Rider
hmmn,  i remember it was an accident too, a real shame. he was really getting into some cool characters

RE: arthur
what about some mask ties,  or belts from an ink or tommyboy mesh?

We really need to do something here about honoring those of us that have fallen! :( Paradox and Web Rider come to mind. I for my self will make some skopes decated to their Avatars!

doctorchallenger

For Arthur: Valander has a male rabbit mesh I think and Vertex (as Bobby 69) has a couple of female rabbit ear meshes and Beyonder might have one too (B's donkey head mesh might have something that might work.

As far as honoring our fallen: Style I like your skope idea - I was thinking along similar lines - specifically I was thinking about fininishing the Justa 'Lotta Animals team from Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew Webrider did SuperSquirrel, Green Lambkins, Wonder Wabbit, Batmouse, and the Crash (Included with his Fastback mesh).  This leaves Green Sparrow, Stacked Canary, Hawkmoose, Firestork, Zappanda, Aquaduck, Elongator, Rat Tornado, Martian Ateater and the Item (an Elephant). Pictured below.  Also Webrider ever got to make a Rubberduck mesh.

I think it would also be cool to make a Zoo Crew Mod.

on the subject of gren i pm'd him a while ago to ask about using some of his stuff for a skope he said he was fine with it and told me i could post that he was. i believe style has also spoke with him

The Pwime

oh man, I knew Paradox had passed on (though i don't know how or exactly how long ago it was), but I thought he was pretty much the only one from the FR community that had passed on.  This is sad news to me.  :(

I did and yes, he said he was ok with skoping his stuff.

TaskMasterX

I decided to try my hand at skoping meshes. I tried copying an aura to another mesh. Pretty simple compared to some of the great stuff in this thread, but hey, I'm learning! Here's Blue Shield with his force field.

Podmark

ok I'll update the permissions list now that I'm certain Gren is good.

I really, really like that character and skoped mesh. Is Blue Shield an original character or mainstream, TMX?

I think it's really nice of you guys to honor Paradox and Webrider/CC the way you are.  You guys are the absolute best!  I love this community.

I also have to commend all of our wonderful Skopers here...You've all put together some very super Skopes...Great work, guys!

Blue Shield is a Marvel character. He first appeared in an issue of Dazzler's series. I'm not even sure when the last time Marvel has even used him was, though.

deanjo2000

Last time i saw him was in avengers with the squadron supreme

TaskMasterX

He was also in a few Cap issues and I think he tried to join the Avengers but I don't remember why he didn't.

I should mention that the skin is by Moonswolf, on a hexed version of Gren's Cap (w/ the shield and wings removed) and I took the Aura from Ren's Power Ring02 mesh. Since Gren and Ren has given permission to release hexed stuff of there's I'd need Moonswolf's permission as well.

Since Gren said it's okay to release hexed stuff of his, I have some hexed keyframes of his that I did for flying melee that could be uploaded to my Yahoo! group.
Does anyone know the status of Lord Ehmsidy? I have a flying melee version of his Flyer KFs I'd like to make available too.

Actually, with the auras adjusted to specific mesh geometries, this can be more difficult than say pasting a weapon on the weapon node (poor example).  Getting the aura to surround a different mesh fully can be taxing.  You did a fine bit of work there, X.  Isn't it fun?

So,  after much  :banghead: and a bit of  , with many thanks to Renegade (for Superman and Hal v2. meshes) as well as Tomato for taking time to fix my glitch...
S[uper]M[an]_Ren_SinesCorps_Fixed skope is done.  This is an early preview.  I hope to have it finalized by tomorrow (I seem to say that a lot lately).

Has at least 2 skins by Murs 47.  (Thanks for your patience, Murs.)

Wow.  It only took 20 minutes or so (including creating and uploading pics...on dialup!)
I will upload a  :ff:  [my  :ffvstr: converters seem to be failing] version as soon as Murs gives the go-ahead.  It was his request after all.

TaskMasterX

I was able to contact Moonswolf and he gave permission to include the skin in the hex so it can be officially released !

Umm...except that I've been working on that mesh for several weeks before the Thor 'skope you seem to think inspired it was previewed.
Now, Revenant's Red Tornado 'skope, that definitely inspired me to re-mesh Red Tornado.
The Thor-skope? Not so much. Nice though it looked.
Maybe next time.
now back to our regularly scheduled programme.

Skoped Tommyboy's excellent M.A.C.H 1-4 meshes onto male_basic_rifle. The result is a squad of hi-tech 'Cape killers' used by governments and private concerns to hunt and eliminate troublesome superhumans, good and evil.
Thanks to Tommyboy for making these meshes and then letting us all play with them like this.
