Man, I am so envious of all your guys' skill.  In the meantime though, here's another one of mine.

DC's Zyklon

Once again, I did the skope and skin.

Quoteif it does that only during flight animations or some such, that means keyframe combining.  Detoure seems to be the current expert on that.

You can only notice it at the idle animatioins I think.  where the cape and collor meet.

I thought I'd show off what I've been working on and asking an question:

I am trying to make the tunic alpha-enabled how would I do that? Also I've tried adding disk to the lower half of his torso and I've been unsuccessful in making it stay in place. I've deleted the nifinstance and it still with stay in one place detached from the mesh or it is attached but flies crazy.

PS A certain speedy twin will be following and possibly a loony little cousin...

PPS The skin is no where near done, this is my old Asgardian skin. I just wanted to show what it will look like when I'm done.

YoungHeros

he made me think of Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy VII :D

Thats a great stat AA. It should be possible to add alphas, there's a tutorial on how to do it, have you tried that?

As for the discs I often find that if they still fly around it's because they're pasted to the wrong spot.

That Duke Nukem is awesome.

I've been looking for the tutorial, I only found the wiki one. That's interesting about the disc because I really would like to do that instead of skinning it on.

I know what you mean, with nifskope available I really want to avoid skinning on parts when possible.

It is a skope mesh that using Ren's Cap Marvel Jr, Ink's Mastermind and Zeigel, and Tommy's Asgardian Cape.

Kaede

cool...
anyways, could you guys help me out... i'm trying to put a jetpack from the Nick_Fury_Gren, to the Duke that i just skoped... and i successfully put the pack, but when i put the fire for the pack, it always goes on, even if it's in idle or anything else... i wanted it to be just like in the original, where the fire only goes on in flying and hovering animations... how do i actually do this? could anyone help me... thanks...

Monkeyman

That sounds like a kf issue. You probably need to switch out fly animations from the nick and ur duke nukem mesh.

i keep on looking for that cape but can't seem to find it... is it really from Tommy's Asgardian? coz i just downloaded the asgardian mesh from tommy's site, but it's not the cape the same as that one... it's because i need it for a character i'm doing right now... could someone point me to the direction to where i can get a hold of this cape? thanks...

GGiant

Hey Kaede,
How did you put the fire on the jet pack?
Where did you put the Jet pack what ninode?
I'm asking this because I'm doing a skope of male_basic_rifle with jet pack.

Cyber Burn

QuoteI'm having a bit of trouble with a skope, maybe one of you guys can point me in the right direction.   I 'skoped a couplof bolts from Tommyboy's "Thunderer of Quard" mesh onto the head of the "Fire_Elemental" to attempt to make the Thunderbolt Yz from the JSA.   I made sure the right .tga files were added to the standard skin folder, the bolts show up in NifSkope, but not in the CTool.   I haven't started to attempt to skin the character yet either if that's an issue.   I don't know where my mistake is, any suggestions?   Should I post this elsewhere?

Peerless1 helped me figure out where I went wrong, I used the paint shop pro that FLASH_22798 gave me with my windows 98 to make a skin for the character (it didnt turn out very good though).  Unfortunately, my trial paint shop pro on my vista which has my FFvt3R installed ran out so I dont have anyway to take a pic in the ctool of this guy.

Would any one be willing to take a look at this 'skope/skin (i have a wiremap for the fire elemental) to see if they can improve it, you can even release it if you want as long as Peerless1 gets credit for his help and Tommyboy gets his due credit.

Johnny Thunder's Thunderbolt has always been a favorite character of mine and i'd love to see him in game.  Thanks.

Cyber Burn

This is the image from Nifskope of of my wnidows 98.  Like I said, the skin isn't that great.  Hopefully this will inspire someone to volounteer to improve on it.   Again, thanks.

BatWing

its an pretty good skin cyber
did u edited on or u actually made the whole thing?

Cyber Burn

Since FLASH_22798 gave me his paint shop pro and showed me some of the basics on it, I,ve been using that for skinning.  As for skoping, I've been using FF1 and then just converting the skopes after I've skinned them (I only about 5 or 6 actually completed though).  Once all is said and done, I e-mail it from one computer to the other so that I can actually use it in game.

As for this skope that I just did, I did the skope on my newer computer using irrational's Fire_Elemental mesh and Tommyboy's Thunderer Of Quard mesh, and the skin on my older computer, and just hoped for the best. Thankfully, Peerless1 was around to help out, otherwise, there would be no skin to show.

Peerless1

Actually I did very little except to confirm that Cyber's own suspicions were correct.  It was a Node naming issue all along...
And as far as I'm concerned, I don't even deserve a footnote, much less any real credit.  You did it yourself, CB.  Stand up and take a bow.
It looks  :xancool with your skin.  Nice work.

Anywho...it looks good.  Have you had any luck with the disk, and how exactly are you trying to position it (pm if so desired)?  With all the help from Pod and others, I am becoming better at placement even though I barely have time to skope currently.  If I can help AA, let me know.  I've been using your skins in-game for ages now, so a return is past due.

Oh don't worry about it, I've already added the pieces and finished the character. He's in my skin thread. The character was Wiccan from Young Avengers.
