I still have some my skope "formulas" written down( I write em down for readme's ) so at least I should be able to recreate a few of em...it'll just take some time. Thank god for pencils. ;) Now my problem is recovering data from the sucker. :(

That really sucks. I was scared of the same thing happening to me which is why I ended up buy a new laptop.

I'm so sorry to hear that...you had a lot of fantastic work going on. At least you kept a guideline of your work. I try to backup as frequently as I can on an external harddrive. I couldn't recommend it enough.

I must also commend you for sounding so calm. I'd be too busy throwing my computer against a wall to type. ;)

I gotta be calm other wise..I'd have jumped up and down on the machine last night and seeing as I don't have any capital to get a new one calm is my best friend. ;) And thanks for the support guys and I have some good news. I actually I'd forgotten that I had upoloaded a few skopes to my box.net account...namely my Ultimate Iron Man, Falcon and my 3 "Lost Gods".

My brother Cas you gotta invest in a External Harddrive like LP mentioned it's a life saver for me also! I have 1 External Harddrive and 3 lil Jump Drives! Oh boy those are life savers!!! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Oh man... it happened to me awhile ago too, i lost everything  :wacko: and the HD was toasted.
So now i try askig for some of the skins and meshes i can´t find anymore and put in an external backup HD, i even copy the entire ff folder.. you never know. :lol:

Yay Cas (and Big B)!  I'm glad you got back everything...I had the same experience a few months ago (thankfully, I was also able to retrieve everything, even though my computer itself had died).

I moved back into my apartment over the weekend and didn't check to see if anything was loose after the cab ride back. Beyonder just reminded me to check before doing anything else...I checked it...made sure everything was secure and presto! :thinkingidea
