Wasn't sure where to post this, so I thought I'd put it right here.

Has there been any new maps made for FFvt3R? Or have there been any custom maps for FF that have been converted for use in FFvt3R?

Thanks for the time.

Previsionary

quite a few actually. I'd link you to some, but frp seems to be down at the mome. Anyway, Humanton and gengoro both created some maps which can also be found in several of my own mods. Not to mention that, with a little work, all ff1 maps can be converted into ffvttr.

I see Previsionary has already linked you to Cmdrkoenig67's fine  :ffvstr: maps. You can also find some more original maps, along with Rumble Room conversions of existing  :ffvstr: maps, over on my Yahoo site:

i'm not very good with computers so the easier the better with maps.i'd love to see several maps from ff1 converted to ff2.example...robot factory, pans floating island, the ant tunnels, and the map where part of the city was transported to prehistoric times( or a desert map).by the way...thanks to all you mapmakers/converters.thanks!

while runnng the risk of coming off dumb, but I am kind of confused. I downloaded the forest temple map folder. Where do I put the folder, being that there sub-folders within the main folders? Any help is  greatly appreciated.

Quotethere sub-folders within the main folders

I just read the "readme" and it's not the best...

The "data" subfolder is all you need.  Just copy/paste it into your freedom force directory (c:\program files\irrational games\freedom force vs the 3rd reich).  You won't overwrite anything.

Unfortunately, I just discovered a bug that requires you to load it onto your C drive.  I'll fix it for people who run FFVTTR on other drives.

You'll also need to merge the forest_temple_objects.dat file into your own objects.dat file.  Open FFedit.  Click on the "Options" Tab.  About halfway down the window is a button called "Merge DATs".  Click it.  The first window that opens will ask you to select a file to merge to.  Navigate to your "Data" folder and open it.  Click on the object.dat file and click "Open".  You will now be asked to a file to read from.  Navigate to the "forest_temple" folder (whereever you saved it on download).  Open it and select forest_temple_objects.dat.  Wait a few minutes.  FFedit will appear frozen but it isn't.  It should not take too long because my .dat files are clean, they only have the new objects and will not overwrite anything.

Hope you enjoy.

PS--thanks for the compliments, everbody, expect a release this week!
