Jakew

Detourne_me is doing some great skopes. I like that skin, too!

Podmark

detourne_me

An awesome skin for a ho-hum skope.   i still wish i put more time into the skope,  for diversifying the keyframes, and maybe bulking him up a bit....
THANKS AGAIN Murs47 for the great skin :)

murs47

Thanks guys for the comments.:)

O-gan

It's released, you just have to click on the yahoo group link in my sig.;)

Sledgehammer

Very good! I especially like your Parallax. Very detailed costume and nice expression.

murs47

Well, I start class next week and I think this will be my final skin......wish it was something a little cooler, sorry.  :(

Anyways I think I may end up going out with a skinning tutorial, if anyone is interested in how I did a certain skin or how I achieved a certain aspect of one of my skins just let me know and I'll try my best to set-up a proper tutorial by the end of the week.

The Pwime

your final skin...as in...THE last skin EVER!?  :o

oh no you DON'T!  :P

Previsionary

That skin looks awesome, murs. It looks like you didn't rely on the reflect layer much which is majorly cool. If this is your final skin...then...then...um...*kidnaps skin*

My only critque would probably be that the red on his torso (and up) are brighter than his pants and boots. Maybe you should lighten them up a bit?

murs47

No, not my last skin ever, just for a long while. I wanted to skin a really cool Dr. Doom, but when I finally sat down to do it, I realized I didn't have the desire. I'm just burnt right now, and I have a freelance job I need to finish up, and classes start up again next week. I'll be skinning again in December, but I can't guarantee anything before then.

Jakew

Good luck with your classes and real life stuff! Bummer about the Dr Doom thing, though ... your metallic work, such as Cyborb Superman and Colossus, is superb. Your Doom skin would have been ... unstoppable!

Lunarman

Even at Class, you'll have to stick around here and join in the conversations.

Or You'll GO InSAnE!

Trust me, that's what collage/uni does... ;)

On the other hand that is an awesome skin I love the crispness all round. If your looking for a topic for a skinning tut I'd start with faces, they are one of the hardest things to master.

R.O.M

you do nice work murs I hope you dont stay away too long colossus looks great

AfghanAnt

What? What?! WHAT?!

No, it's cool we all understand. I actually really like the cleanest of the metal. The reds and yellows are amazing. They are rich and bold. Is this the Astonishing design?

Revenant

That's a great Colossus skin!  I like the shadows on the yellow section.  Good luck with classes... we'll miss your skins, and Lunarman's right-- you might find that FR discussions will be necessary, and will actually improve your grades!

murs47

QuoteIs this the Astonishing design?

It is Ramos' take of Colossus in Carey's X-Men. Basically the Astonishing version but with trunks instead of a speedo. :P

Quotend Lunarman's right-- you might find that FR discussions will be necessary, and will actually improve your grades!

I will still be around just as much, there's too many awesome skins being released by everyone that there's no possibility of me just going cold turkey from FR. Come December, I'll have some skins....until then, here's a spinning penquin  :penguinspin YAY!!

YokoBeast

Nice Colossus skin. I think it's a nice way to go out, even though you will eventually come back.

The Pwime

we shall all cherish that spinning penguin, Murs...  ^_^

Podmark

Good work Murs, good luck with classes too.

O-gan

Thank you for all of the great skins.  Good luck in class.

The Hitman

Good job on the skin. Looks very clean. And you didn't rely on the reflect layer as much, which is pretty durn cool.

And good luck with the classes, man!

Well folks, he's finally being released.

Thanks to Tomato and Peerless1 for spending a tremendous amount of time on this skope.

A big thanks to Ren for creating these awesome meshes and allowing others to skope them.

note to Peerless1 and Tomato: I updated the skins, if you want the updated tga just PM and I'll send them to you....saves you the hassle of downloading the whole mesh again.
Why does the left hand have only three rings?
Just wondering.

johncostantine78

From Wikipedia:

"Additionally, in his role as a herald of the Anti-Monitor, Henshaw now wields a number of Qwardian power rings on both hands; the exact number of rings shown on-panel fluctuates between eight (one ring for each finger) and ten (one ring for each finger and each thumb)".

GGiant

So he wears ten rings?

johncostantine78

Sometimes 10, sometis 8. Dc comics, in this times, power up his villains.
Henshaw powers: kriptonian fisiology, techopathy and Qwardian power rings...Near the omnipotence, I mean...

murs47

He was wearing 9 rings from the reference pic I was using.

murs47

Threw this together last night.
My little Yat is growing up so fast.
*fights back tears*
