Hi. I may need some introducing. I used to be called rach2cmin. I also used to do a few skins here and there. I once left doing Freedom Force things because I thought the modding community had died out over time. But to a pleasant surprise, I returned to the site to find a once again lively FF mod community.

So, I've decided to take up skinning once again. My previous skins are located here.

Anyway, I had some pet projects that I've been meaning to work on, such as these.

Ken, Zangief and Ryu of the Street Fighter games, and Marv from Sin City (shame that mesh is symmetrical, otherwise I could perfect the bandages)

So my next project will be to skin the cast of Street Fighter, assuming I can get good meshes.

Look at this man. I've hexed Renegade's Firebrand and Valandar's(NPI) Male Martial Artist and I came up with this. He has a bandage and a belt just like Ryu.

These are really good! I've always wondered who's Metal Men I've been using...

About the Ryu thing, since you're using Tommyboy's new Finger mesh, I'd just 'Skope pieces onto it. You could give it a try, or just do a request.

Marv looks good, and I may have a solution for you with the head thing. There's a mesh calles "male_trenchcoat_newhead" that uses the male_basic head, and I don't think it's mirrored. If you want to take a look at it, here's the link:

I may have a problem with Ken, though. I designed the skin to go with the Apollo vx mesh (because the hair is so similar). Is it possible to just nifskope the hair from the Apollo mesh onto that hexed mesh you just showed me?

There is a problem about the vxApollo mesh because I can't copy the hair. :( Can you upload the Ken & Ryu mesh you have so I can see if it's compatible with the hexed mesh?

I just tried it on the mesh, and it worked fine. The vx meshes use the male_basic format that most meshes use, so there was no problem with the basic skin. I'll have to modify some things like the headband and belt of course, but it should be pretty easy.

If we can get that mesh with Ken hair, then I'll be all set to release my first three Street Fighters along with my modified version of Marv (thanks for pointing me towards male_trenchcoat_newface!)

Awesome CF Kane, I've been looking for the Metal Men! If you don't mind, I'd love to put them in my DCU quasi-mod. I like that Question skin too, the fabrics look pretty great.

it's got the male basic head and chest. i designed it to be marv, especially the head. blunt nose and crew cut. i'd really be happy to get a good skin for it.

Just got the mesh. It's perfect. I'll adapt the head either tonight or tomorrow.

And I've just finished adapting Ryu and Ken for the hexed meshes you guys supplied.

Sorry the image is a bit blurry, but don't worry, they look fine in reality. I'll release these guys along with Marv and Zangief once I finish the last adaptations necessary for Marv.

That Marv does look very nice. Good job.

You've got some decent wrinkles down and a fairly good handle on everything else from the looks of it. I see you starting to break away from the C6 base faces a bit. I'd say keep doing that. Faces really help a skin look unique. This is promising stuff, and I can't wait to see what you do next.

Here are the first drafts of my next two skins. I think I did okay, considering the meshes I had available. (hint, hint, meshers and nifskopers!)

Ed Honda and Blanka, respectively.

I'm also trying to work on a third skin using Revenant's Ares mesh, assuming I can actually successfully nifskope something from it.

That E.Honda and Blanka skin/mesh are great. :thumbup: But it's sad that there is no mesh similar to Blanka's long hair. :(

Thanks. Hey, can you help me with this nifskoping problem I've been having? I've been trying to remove parts from a mesh, but after I save it, the skin stops reading and the whole mesh appears magenta.

Sorry man I'm not sure about what's causing those problems. When I try to remove parts from a mesh and view it on Ctool it looks just fine.
