There's a tech problem that I've been wondering about for a while that I wonder if you guys might have an answer for.  Occasionally I'll try to download a mesh and skin combo in the normal configuration.  But the figure just appears as a white humanoid outline on the custom character screen (the one revolves around).  This is quite a bit different than the white cube effect.  What might be the cause for this?

Come to think of it, when that has happened, I just assume they won't work in the rumble room.  Might it be a problem only with the custom character screen.  Or is there something more broadly the problem?  And if so, what might be going wrong?  And what might be the solution...if any?

Btw, I am still using  :ff:.

Thanks for any guidance you might be able to provide.

Sounds like the glow and refl files may be missing. If they are, try copying over some from another skin and see if that fixes it.

Hmmmm...I'll try that.  Thanks!

I've had this problem before, using the one keyframe - many .nif method.  A couple of skins look fine in CTool, but occasionally come out white (like the game can't find the skin) in the in-game viewer, until scrolling through the skins finds it again.  Unfortunately, it would happen in the Danger Room, as well.  My only fix for it was to go back to using the full mesh for those particular skins.

It seems kind of odd that it will work in CTool, but not in the game. I've never had any problems with any of the skins/meshes before, and I'm using male_blasic keyframes with a male_basic mesh.....Any thoughts?
