Mary Marvel wanders into a building where Black Adam is being beset by a group of thugs. While he is wearing the costume, in taking the thugs out, he doesn't really do anything that an in shape, insane, ticked off human couldn't do.  IIRC, anyway.

Ok, I just read Countdown issues 51-48 and it does look like Black Adam is back. Also Superman has returned, when did this happen? Anyway Adam smashed his fist through a statue so I would guess he has his powers back. So far no explanation how. That thing with Jimmy Olsen though, huh?

Im still not convinced BA got his powers back less than a month after he lost them.  Its just bad storytelling and cheapens the initial loss into nothingness.

If I'm not mistaken, it hasn't been a month since black adam lost his powers but rather 13 months.  Remember 52 was in the lost year of DC, with one year later books going along with it.  So you had the end of fifty two, then all of one year later, and then now countdown.  It took much longer for Black Adam to find his word, and a miniseries for him is coming out to explain it all, pretty excited to find out how he did it.

The beginning of OYL stories started immediately after 52. Countdown started with the most recent continuity, though I'm not sure exactly how much time passed between OYL's start and when Countdown began, but it's probably a few months.

[spoiler]Black Adam is fully powered, but summons lightning by saying "SHAZAM!". So some how he's managed to not only figure out the word, but change it back... Anywho, he tells Mary to tell Captain Marvel that he's "sorry" if she sees him again. By the way he said it, I'm betting his word was "Sorry".[/spoiler]

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that. She is smoking hot now. I am loving where this story is going, Mary will be equal to Freddy now, when he is done with his trials that is. I wonder what Teth-Adam will do now?
