Intensity

I'm beginning to think that, other than the martial arts abilities, my character Intensity is a little ill-defined when it comes to powers.

Either make up your own idea for powers suitable for a superhero named 'Intensity...' or check off from the list I have.  I'm keeping the martial arts abilities for sure... everything else is up in the air right now.

A flying martial artist is something new. I'm all for that. :)

*psssst*......Karate Kid.  been done.  next.

Glitch Girl

With a name like "Intensity" I'd think the character would be able to regulate the "intensity" of whatever, creating laser like beams of concentrated photons, or something like that.

Sidenote: Actually I had a character I never really used: a DJ who had the ability to manipulate ambient light: bending it, changing the frequency (ie: color), and concentrating/dispersing it.  He used it in his shows to augment the light show and no one picked up that he was actually doing it with powers, not equipment.

Uncle Yuan

I had a character called Strobe who could create a strobe lighteffect around him.  Ever have a pillow-fight under a strobe light?  Imagine actually fighting under those conditions!

Intensity

:)  Thanks everyone... you've actually made me more interested in Intensity's current power set.

I'll have to define them a bit more- possibly change the color scheme from blue to just a bright flash color or something... but still he is going to stick with blinding and concussive light blasts.  After all, my favorite comic character is Jubilee... its pretty suiting for my avatar to have similar powers.

BUT!!!

I seriously think that Intensity needs a new uniform.  Either Korean-style martial arts uniform with a black belt, a new superhero-type costume, or a street-clothes-type of uniform.

hmm.

BatWing

that would be a cool power do like a high beam blast and still have karate skills!
like ryu!!!!

maybe a korean style martial arts uniform combine with a new superhero-type costume!
just imagine

Doctor TOC

The name and costume seem to suggest photokinesis to me; light/energy manipulation in the vein of Dazzler and Jubilee. The martial arts aspect gives him a nice edge and allows for situations when he might have his powers nullified, only for bad guys to realise even powerless he's more than they can handle. For some reason flight doesn't feel like a good fit for him; maybe line of sight teleportation would work, but I'd make it very strenuous, not something he'd use often or in the middle of a fight. One ability you might want to consider, based off the strobing comments earlier, is the ability to temporarily overload an opponents nervous system by making the ambient light flicker at the proper frequency - similar to the way that old Pokemon cartoon is supposed to have caused fits in susceptable kids. If he used it to induce petit mal seizures, for example, he could walk right past a guard and once the seizure was over the guard wouldn't even remember him (such seizures often create a sort of mental blank spot and don't involve a fit at all).

hey Doc, that was very in-depth!  I like the seizure-inducing effect, and the huge description on how intensity's powers would work.

I would talk more right now... but I'm typing from South Korea(having a wonderful time!!!  I'll tell you guys about it and show tons of awesome pics when I get back after May 31st...
typing on Korean keyboards is a huge task for me-lol... like I forgot how to type in 영 국 ...  I mean, Yonguk/English lol.

peace and wish me safe travelling-
with love and friendly wishes,
Kev/Intensity

Figure Fan

I'm on the new costume thing, Kev.

I'll let you know when I have something presentable.
