Is it possible to make a mesh thinner or fatter or shorter or taller using Nifscope.

Good question, that would defenitely be helpful information.   Has anyone figured this out yet?

No. Nifskope currently only allows for scaling a mesh as a whole. You'll need eithor the old-fashioned hex editor for FF1 or something like XVI for FFvTTR/Tommyboy meshes to scale on a particular axis.

As far as height is concerned, wouldn't it be possible to change this value by selecting individual bones--e.g., the Bip thighs--and editing the dimensions?  My guess is that it would be fruitless to try to change the dimensions of an editable mesh that is Physiqued to a Biped object because it would either a) break the mesh or b) simply snap back into its normal, Biped-determined dimensions once animated.

Of course, this information comes from someone who is more familiar with 3ds max than NIFSkope.

Actually, in the most recent version, Nifskope has a scale vertices spell that allows you to scale it along a particular axis.  Just right click on a trishape object, click Transform and then Scale Vertices.

Conduit, that is music to my ears.

See, it's in situations like this when I'm quite happy to be proven wrong.

Hi,

I have tried this a few times and have come out with a horrible mess

Would there be a kind soul out there that would consider posting a tutorial on how to change a mesh to be obese or skinny?

Respectfully,
