I hope so anyway...

Can you say who?  I don't want to watch video interviews.

Mr. Hamrick

the article is a tease!

the villain is not flat out said but it is mentioned that Luthor and Kitty could be back (as they are under contract) and General Zod's name was brought up.  Nuclear Man's name was brought up too.

Nuclear Man? with the fingernails?

Please tell me they are bringing back Lenny, PLEEEEEASE!!!
That would bring the series in to some kind of post modern completeness.

Luthor has to come back in the sequel as Kevin Spacey was the only one who made it enjoyable.

I'm thinking either Brainiac (as a follow up to the opening plot of Superman Returns) should be in the next movie as well.

Oh, please not many multiple villains.  Hasn't Spider-man 3 taught us anything?  And I hope it's not Zod, it's been done, and way too many times.  Kryptonian villains from the Phantom Zone, it's about original at this point as Superman being threatened with kryptonite.  It goes without saying that I hope they don't do Nuclear Man; all right-thinking people hate Superman 4.

Spider-man 3 might have mishandled multi-villians, but I don't think that was a result of the villians more than the direction they took itself.  I mean Batman Begins had Ras and Scarecrow.

But for anyone who still have questions.  One of the writers said "Superman is only as good as... his villians"(specifically saying villians), but that could be referencing Lex and Kitty for all we know.  One thing to note is despite heavy sci-fi/space overtones a lot of superheroes have up until The Fantastic Four, they have been resisted.  spider-man got his symbiote from an alien planet(plane?/whatever), here we have an inexplicable metorite.  Some of Superman's greatest enemies are alien entities(Braniac, Darkseid, Mongul), not a tornado, nuclear man or supercomputer.  The Phoenix is a super-intergalactic hardcase, not a split-personality.  With the introduction of the Silver Surfer(and likely Galactus), these sci-fi/space themes have a test case.  If it goes over with the fans well, then perhaps we'll get treated to seeing Darkseid on screen...
