Number Nine Hard Stare

The Scarab Sentinel dinged 44 last night on Champion, and of course, as a tanker, I had to pick Laser Eyes as my new power. According to my wife I then spent the next hour running around zapping anything that moved and giggling like a lunatic. I love this power!

Aside from the sheer fun factor, adding a ranged attack to the sheer mayhem the tank deals out makes him an altogether more fun character to play. I already loved being a tank, but this really does put the cherry on top for me.

So I was wondering, is there anything else out there that folks have picked up for their characters that have turned the game from fun to FUN!?

LRM... I loved playing my Blaster through all levels, but getting the snipe-range attack was just so damn cool... adding massive AoE to it? Dear Lord, I'm a happy shooty bloke!

I'd ditto LRM.  I found trip mines to be pretty fun too - I like the anticipation factor.  They require more patience though.

Getting Tornado on my ill/storm controller was a great moment too.  Storm controllers are already quite chaotic, Tornado just kicked it up a notch.

I think for many of my characters, the fun level ramps up when they get that first Travel power.  I love Fly, Super Speed, and Super Jump in particular, in that order.  The feeling of freedom from the drudgery of jogging from place to place.

Other than that, discovering a certain combination of powersets and powers on a particular AT that's really effective is cool.

Oh, and anything with knockback.  I love knockback.

Granite Armor. The first time you tank a giant monster solo and never dip below 9/10 health is... amazing.

For my first character, Jump Kick, Super Jump, Dragon's Tail, Eagle's Claw, and the three Weapon Mastery powers he took all greatly increased my fun level... Oh, and Integration, too.

It's quite a rush to drop that many mobs at once.

When Black 13 got his foot stomp I was mighty pleased. I am eagerly looking forward to my eye beams at 44.
