Ok, I know my guide says otherwise, but after grabbing this power for the last STF I ran with BOW, I'm totally converted to it. With IO's it's even better. Currently on Ver my all IO 2 recharge 2 heal 2 interrupt time Aid Self heals for 673 damage every 30 seconds or so, I never got the exact time. It is seriously worth taking if you got the room, and with IO interrupts you can easily get it off in-between DOT ticks moreso than before.

I'm going to admit I was wrong, and for an Invul tank I would put aid self ahead of the passives and tough on the "survival" scale. It will seriously make you a better tank, not to mention making soloing easier. Most AV's rely on big attacks, and aid self allows you to heal in between those big attacks. For AV's alone I'd reccomend taking it. It has brought Verfall up to the point that, with all the passives and tough, I'm close to what a stone tank can get away with, just without the ability to sit there and nap. On a tank without the passives and tough, it'll still double your survival strength.

Wow, I will definitely consider this for my Invuln/SS tank.  Just curious, Ver: which prerequisite to Aid Self do find to be most worth taking?

Camma

Ive always had it for my Invul scrapper.  It makes him quite tanky along with Dull Pain.

Viking

I have taken this power for my Ice/Axe Tanker, Frozen Northman.  Every bit of healing helps - particularly when I'm on a team that's low on healers.  The tricorder is utterly out of character, but I deem the power a necessity for proper tanking.

I don't really have a basis on which to suggest which prerequisite is better: Aid Other or Stimulant.  Ultimately, that's a question better left to one's teammates.  I have simply gone with Aid Other, based purely on the fact that it helps me earn a badge for healing others.

I first tried Aid Self on Frontal Lobe, and what a difference it made.  The brute energy aura lacks a heal power, so it's a must.  Then I tried it on Great Gusto, and it's great.  Then I respecced it into California Hustle, and it's made a huge difference.  I've been thinking of respeccing Tort to get with the times, and Aid Self was going to be part of that respec.

It's the new Stamina!  :P

This is all because I actually took Stamina a couple of times, isn't it...
