resource.dat?!?!

upon trying to install my ffvttr...which my other had unexpectedly bought for me...i was told at the end of the installation that i was missing a file...resource.dat...the error message says that this could be a disk read problem, a network problem or a problem with the package...any ideas so i can get this sorted?
