Alright, I need a little clarification here.

What is the install directory's file structure supposed to look like for installed skins, meshes, and heroes for  :ffvstr:? In other words do I need to create a mod folder with many subfolders and files in it like in some games that I play other than (FFVTTR)? Not that I don't know how to do that but I just need to know whether or not I have to.

And another thing: why don't my installed mod's work? They just revert back to the original game.
For example, I installed the spider-man mod, the Classic Xmen mod, the F4 mod, and all they do is take up space basically. Am I doing something wrong?

To answer your second question first, each Mod should come with a special shortcut to it's appropriate .exe file (I'm going off of knowledge for  :ff:, but it should still be the same).  Entering the game through that will get you where you want to go.

For the first question, look through the FAQ thread at the top of this particular section.  Stumpy has collected many answers to such things, and this was one of them.  If you're still having trouble understanding, you can always ask again for further clarification.

PG is correct. Most mods come with a shortcut located inside of the mod folder. There's a few where you need to create your own...but all that info is located on the FR Wiki. Also, most of my early mods didn't change the start screen...although I know Fan4 has a custom start screen to show that it's working.

*pssst* I figured since he named FFVTTR mods, he must have meant this. :P

*psssst2* There's a classic xmen and spider-man mod for ff1 too. *disappears in a flash of light*
