Viking

Starts June 15.  Check out the details here.

Uncle Yuan

And of course I'll be out of town . . .  :(

BlueBard

Cool!  I hope I'll be able to participate.  Better yet, I hope I'll be able to team up with some folks from FR, and I hope I can get my PC upgraded in time for the show.

I now have 2 20's and a 19 on Freedom, a 20 on Virtue, and assorted lowbies across Freedom, Virtue, Guardian, and Liberty.

MJB

Nice. That will make a good late birthday present. :)

I hope I'll find the time with my son being here to participate. Lou, Kindle and the General all want expees!!

Midnight

Sweet. Good time to push a bunch of toons out of the 30s.

W00P W00P!

Lets hope I'm still signed up when it happens.

Gymdawg

Hey, what great way to get back into the swing of things  :D
Maybe I'll actually get to do a taskforce this time around.

Verfall

Bah, this is both a boon and a bane. I love the xp, but the sheer amount of people who log in end up gutting my PC performance. It's bad enough with the I9 boom as it is.

I'll just abuse spud and jeebs for xp at 1am.

AncientSpirit

I hope I get a chance to push a couple of alts who are languishing in the mid to high 30s into the 40s.

I can't believe how fast it's possible to level in the forties.    Fantastic Torch was just 38 or 39 last week, and now he's 3 bubbles away from 50.

Does it always go that fast?

MJB

I suppose it is according to your play style. Em leveled fast until around lvl 30. Once I hit 30 with him I decided to split my focus on numerous toons. Eventually I grew tired of "spreading the love" and went back to playing only one toon.

I love to play in teams. Teaming up with the folks from FR is by far the most fun I've had playing this game. I was lucky enough that once Em hit 40 there were lots of FR toons in that range to team with. Before I knew it I hit 45, once I hit 45 I ran my first STF. After I ran the STF I blinked my eyes and I was 50.

Anyway back to the subject at hand...

El Condor

I've only experienced one 2X-XP weekend, but really liked it.  The server glut does cause problems, and the number of bozos online increases, but I enjoyed the vibrancy & liveliness much in the way I do walking around downtown Boston on a nice weekend day when everyone is out and doing stuff.

I'll probably use Double XP to level up my characters languishing in the teens, of which I have a bunch. My current main is going at a nice pace, so I don't want to jack him up too quickly. I'd guess that if you have toons that are in a "stuck" place, that's the weekend to give 'em the much needed kick-in-the-pants.  If you're trying to savor a certain level-span with a certain character, play sparingly.

ThePrelate

this might be a good weekend to focus on Prelate.. it would be nice to someday get him to 50! I think he's a hair into 40 right now.

I plan to use the weekend to get a few of my level 14s on Virtue (I have six of them) to 22. I've always found that to be the best use of these weekends-- instead of denying yourself time with a good character, play characters who are at a crappy level range to get them out of it with a smaller time investment.

I kind of agree, but typically that means moving stuff in the high to mid-30's (aka the grind) for me.  The mid to late teens need one 3 hr synapse tf and your basically at 20.  2X xp is wasted on lowbies imo, those levels move so fast anyways.

To each his own. I actually like the late 30s, it's when most characters finally have just about every power they need to operate at maximum efficiency. Whereas in the late teens, I'm missing half my essential powers and starving for endurance.

Gymdawg

I wouldn't know. I haven't had the time to even get into the 30s...
Gymdawg's been sitting idle at 29 for like 9 months now.
