Viking

Og like to sing along with funny bald man with pointy helmet!

Sqwish the gobwins, sqwish the gobwins, sqwish the gobwins, sqwish the gobwins....

Glitch Girl

ah yes, can't beat the classics.  [sigh]

Panther_Gunn

Og:  "Og get him speaw & magic hew-met!"

Uncle Yuan

BlueBard

Just couldn't resist the old Snoring Half-Ogre Trick, could you?  ;)

Glitch Girl

Well, I wasn't going to, until Panther_Gunn mentioned it.  :D

Besides, I get to deal with my own snoring chorus next week - My friends and I all share a room at Dragon*Con (two rooms this year) and we've got some mighty nostrils to deal with.

There's a reason I always travel with earplugs.  ;)

Viking

So... did anybody prepare the Silence spell?  Or Deafness?  I'd volunteer for Deafness... I'd be flat-footed and everything!

Panther_Gunn

ah-ha!  Looks like I'm not the *only* one cutting & pasting from the first thread.  I'd recognize those random snore noises I typed out last time anywhere!

Glitch Girl

Yup, took them off of page 1.  Never let it be said I don't at least try for continuity.  :D

Uncle Yuan

QuoteWell, at least that was a few hours of sleep. . .

Taking my life firmly in both hands I get up, cross over to Og and poke him gently (hard enough to break a window) and say softly (taking over a full bar crowd voice), "Hey Og, roll over.  C'mon, over."

Well, it works with my wife.  Sorta.

Glitch Girl

Yuan, ther are SO many evil things I could do here

BUT  I'm going to let PG figure out how Og would react to that stimulus.

Uncle Yuan

Yeah, I'm really hoping to make my dex roll to avoid being swept up and snuggled like a teddy bear when he rolls over . . .

BentonGrey

Haha, that made me chuckle. ^_^

Viking

Hmm.... I wonder if using the bardic "Countersong" ability would apply to Og's snoring...

Uncle Yuan

Use it to counter Og's "Wake the Dead" spell?

Panther_Gunn

Be glad Og isn't a Red Level Troubleshooter.  He might have reacted quite differently.

And, Og *tried* to warn someone.  But *someone* thought it was best everybody get used to it sooner rather than later.  Notice he was the first one to bail.  It's all his fault....that damn, pointy-eared, green-blooded.....vulcan!

oops, sorry.  Not only am I channeling the wrong game, I'm channeling the character that Yuan should be!

Glitch Girl

Hee hee hee, you guys are nuts.

BTW: if it feels like I'm stalling a bit, it's because I am.  I leave for DragonCon thursday which means a whole lotta prep work this week and no internet until Tuesday.  The game will be paused thursday if not before, but as soon as I get back, you guys can continue your quest.  I didn't want to leave at an inopportune moment in the plot (like the middle of a fight scene or something).

Unlike the other D&D game, I thoroughly intend to come back and GM.  ;)

Panther_Gunn

No problem, GG.  I'll be out of contact from Thursday afternoon until late Monday, anyway.  Camping, & all that.

Quote from: BlueBard on August 27, 2007, 11:33:55 AMBTW... The knot I use is a quick-release knot.  One jerk and I will be free.

*yank!*  THUD!  "Fly, be free!  You're free!  Yay!"

BlueBard

Yeah, like a 120 pound elf is going to tell the 400 pound half-ogre to go sleep outside in the rain.  Momma raised this one to use what's between his pointy ears.

Glitch Girl

PG kinda beat me to it, but anyway...

Quote from: WhisperI use my rope to secure myself to the trunk of the tree just above a thick branch and perch there, leaning against the trunk, dozing lightly from time to time.  I stay there until dawn or until something wakes me.

BTW... The knot I use is a quick-release knot.  One jerk and I will be free.  It's just enough to keep me from falling out of the tree if I should start to doze off too soundly.

Thanks to a failed "Rope Use" roll, the group finds Whisper hanging awkwardly upside down from a nearby limb next morning.  Whisper is unhurt, save for a critical hit to the pride.

"Oh, Hello!  Why am I hanging upside down?  I was conversing with a bat last night and, well, wouldn't you know it?  He was kind of boring.  I fell asleep.  Told you rangers could sleep almost anywhere, didn't I?  By the way, this is really good to increase blood flow to the brain.  You should try it."

Uncle Yuan

So folks - what do we need to do to get things rolling?  Or do we just feel more comfortable waiting for GG to come back?

Glitch Girl

Apparenlty the answer is "wait for GG to come back"  ;)

Rise and shine folks, the GM is back.

Lord Elcorion

yay! i hope your trip was good, btw. i wish i could go to dragon-con, but that's a trip i just can't afford for the moment. mabe in a year or 2.. mabe..

Glitch Girl

Trust me, if you ever make it you won't regret the experience.   :D

Gotta find some more storage space for the photos but they shouldbe going up soon.

Viking

Quote"Wait, what?!" yelps Daniel.  He stands up quickly, wincing slightly as his hand involuntarily clutches at his bruised side. "No I'm fine, really!  I'm (ow) good!"

(*shakes head sadly*)  "Og not know why Ogre Taxi Serive not get more business.  Og offer good mileage and reasonable rates!"

BentonGrey

Viking

(*sniff, sniff*)

(*shakes head*)

"No, Og's nose work fine!"

Viking

QuoteAmbrose kind of watches in a mute combination of disgust and curiosity at Og's adventures in cooking.

I can only guess at what Ambrose is thinking...

Does he get XP for making that concoction?  Or from eating it?
