Additional VP lines for FFVTTR

For those of you playing  :ffvstr:, how critical/desirable is it to have those extra four lines (Recover, Irritation, Heroic, Heal) included in a voice pack?  How many of each would be recommended (such as, Attack & Pain should usually have around 4 each, while Hypnosis or Mental Blank are fine with 1 each)?

I've been working on some animal voicepacks (dog, wolf, lion, and generic big cat), and at the time I started I didn't know what extra lines the new game added.  Would it be acceptable to have these be the same as other lines? (I generally try to have each line to be different & distinct)  If so, what would be recommended?

Realistically, I don't see much call for the last two for animal types.  Even Irritation seems a bit on the not quite necessary side to me.  I've still got a little bit of work to do on them, so there's time for feedback.  Let me know what y'all think.

Edit:  Ah, fer cryin' out loud!  I coulda swore I was in the Sounds forum when I did this.  Could a kind Mod please move this down to the appropriate area?  (I tried deleting it, and was told I'm not allowed to delete my own topics )

I'm going to go ahead and answer this, assuming it will be moved by mods in time.

As for how much of each, look at my guide in the wiki for a general idea.

Recover's the only one you really need, and one or two will be fine.  IMO, having an audio cue when your character is free from a primary state is invaluable and makes things a lot simpler, so it's must have.  The others you only need 1 of each, unless the character does a lot of positive abilities on allies.  But you can easily leave those three out without being even noticed, most of the time.

But then. If you're doing animals I'm presuming they don't speak.

Wlll you be able to tell that your cat's recovered when you hear a growl, you might think it's just another attack noise.

I actually didn't see that they were animals.

I'm sure you might be able to do some thing for the recovery though.

COOL!  Animal sounds!!!

All my animals currently use the Raptor voicepack  ^_^

I don't know if you're up for requests, but would a Snake or Hawk voicepack be a possibility?  I planned on using the sound files from Quetzocoatl and Blackbird's attacks respectively, but each of them only has one usable sound.

Thanks for the feedback, cat.  I'll try to find something for Recovery, but no promises....may not be that easy, especially after covering Hypnotized, Mental Blank, Inactive, Frustration, and Panic.

Other animals may be possible, as I'm looking into an owl currently.  However, so far, beyond canines & felines, other animals seem to be even harder.  A bird is bad enough, as they aren't as expressive (at least in the clips I've been able to locate), but a reptile may be extremely limited.  How many different ways can they hiss before it all starts to blend together?  Avians suffer from the same problem.....not as wide a range of sounds as most mammals.
