For those who remember my "Six Million Dollar Man" act...

As some may remember, my character in CoH was INFAMOUSLY slow - I looked like I was in slow motion. And at 33rd level sprinting, first levels walking were passing me by like nobody's business. Heck, using full flight slotted for speed, a first level sprinting could beat me.

Well, recently, I started playing a new (FREE!) MMO called "9 Dragons", and had the same problem there (I should note I did NOT have the same problem with another MMO, Flyff). It was actually kinda funny, but I had problems with 'yellows' (Higher lvl than you but not TOOmuch, just like in COH) because I was attacking only once for every three to four times I should have been.

Today, I installed new video drivers, and still had the same problem. I grumbled, and closed the game. I then realized I had forgotten to reset my screen to 1280x1024 from its default 1024x768. So I did that, and on a whim, went into "Advanced", and dropped Hardware Acceleration down a notch, just on a hunch.

Later on this afternoon, I opened 9 Dragons... and BAM! I'm at normal speed! Where, before, being mobbed by four light blues (just one step above 'not worth it') had me running to get out of their zone, I could now wipe the floor with four yellows and be looking for more! And travel times were no longer a chore (as in smoke a cigarette, drink some soda, and contemplate the nature of the universe just to get from one village to another).

All this means... sometime next month, or maybe sooner, I might be popping into COH with my lvl 33 Blaster just to see if that did it for me in CoH, too. Seeya there!
