I'll give no spoilers....I'll actually say nothing about the book....what I will say is....OH...MY....GOD! This book needs to be at the top of your respective pull lists.

Madre de dios....

Based on my first (and Ill read it again, like 50 times) perusing...

Im joining the bad guys. Holy FRAK, do they have a lot of firepower on thier side.

murs47

Man oh man! just read that bad boy.....and wow, just wow  :eek2:

yell0w_lantern

It's pretty much going to be everyone versus the Sinestro Corps not just GLs. I'm sure the Zamarons will weigh-in against the SC.

B A D

one would certianly hope. As it stands, the  Corps couldn't hold its own against one of the entities on the Sinestro side.

udasu

WOW! That's all I have to say. Gibbons is the man, the Corps are the men, and the line between god and evil is getting blurrier in the DC 'verse.! WOW!

thanoson

Question. Did all the big bads have power rings as well? Because that will be just overkill for Prime to have a ring. I'm assuming it takes lots of will to punch through universal barries and move planets.

murs47

Nope, he just got a Sinestro Corps uniform with un-matching anti-monitor armor.

Sword

Yeah this is awesome. Are we going to see the other spectrum lanterns awakening to fight Sinestro?

I'm not sure, the only clue we've been given about the other colors was on the last page of Green Lantern #20. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

thanoson

What was on the last page of issue 20?

It's possible that there are other Corps in the universe.....

Green = Willpower
Fear = Fear
Purple(Star Sapphire color) = Love
Supposedly there are more......

The Zamarons turned the Sapphire into a power ring and power battery after realizing their ways were wrong and.........something, something.......I forget.

I could scan the last 2-3 pages of the issue if you like. Maybe that would help.

IIRC, Most of the freaking  Corps couldn't handle SBP at the end of the Crisis. Thats not counting Sinestro's army, AND the Anti monitor. Throw in Cyborg Supes and HIS army, we've got a whole lot of GL's thinking this is a good time to take some leave.

thanoson

Murs, could you please scan those pages?

SingleMalt

It's going to be interesting to see what the corp will do. Like someone else said, it's going to take all the heroes in the DC universe to defeat this powerful force Sinestro has put together. SBP alone was almost to much for most of them. The Marvels are going to have to get involved if the heroes hope to win along with who ever else can help. I don't see how the Sinestro corp will be stopped honestly, they are packing enough firepower to rip the DC universe in half.

BitBiteOuch

I just hope it all ends with something more creative than "the heartfelt, most powerful punch ever" scenario we get all too often.

murs47

Probably won't end for a couple more years. Geoff Johns has stated multiple times that this whole Sinestro Corps arc is his "Empire Strikes Back" chapter of his big Green Lantern plan. Rebirth was his "A New Hope" chapter. It's safe to say his "Return of he Jedi" chapter won't happen for a few years; I'm guessing anywhere from 2-4 years...probably 3. That's the time gap between Rebirth and The Sinestro Corps. We'll just have to wait and see.

I can only see a small victory here for the GLC.....surviving.

^Other then Geoff Johns' words, this is all pure speculation^

GhostMachine

With the multiverse being back, I don't see how Superboy Prime can be even half as much as a threat as he was during IC; all they have to do is find a Superman with Silver Age level power from one of the alternate Earths and send him to give Prime a spanking.

Regardless, I'm really hoping SBP is dead once this is all over with.

What gets me is having AM on the SC's side. That's a little TOO powerful, as I seem to recall it took the Spectre to hold him off last time he popped up.

SingleMalt

Maybe that is how the heroes are going to be able to defeat Sinestro's corp, with the help of heroes from the multiverse. I don't see how they could do it any other way.

Midnite

Don't forget that the CSA owes a favour to the JLA. Maybe John Stewart might use it.

thanoson

Still won't be enough even with the CSA. Look how bad just one Qwardian war cruiser was. I belive one of those 5 could easily handle it, not to mention the rest of the Corp.

murs47

I just realized something........there's 7200 Sinestro Corps members. That makes it 2 Corps members for every sector just like the new Green Lantern Corps. We know Amon Sur is one of the Corps members in Sector 2814(the sector where Earth resides) but whose the other one?

BentonGrey

You know.........this is almost.........almost enough to get me started reading DC comics again.  This sounds really good........if only the rest of the universe was in better shape.  One of the things I love about the modern age of comics (from a short list of things I'd like to see integrated into a new age) is the ability the writers have to tell gargantuan stories like this.

Wasn't that some ultimate doom day machine?

thanoson

Still, it was more powerful than both the JLA and CSA together.

The Pwime

wow.  wooooooow.  I JUST read it...and...wooooooow.

I really need to start downloading some DC characters...and a ton of GL/SC fodder.
