Yuan:
On you?  About 45 gp in various coinage
Ambrose kind of watches in a mute combination of disgust and curiosity at Og's adventures in cooking.

"You may want to decide what you're going to do quickly," he addresses the group, "who knows when those town guards might come back through here."  Some of you think he also might be trying to get rid of you all to get his home back.

BlueBard

"My thanks for your gracious hospitality, Ambrose, and my apologies for the inconvenience," Whisper tells him.

"Shall we depart for Oakenhold, then?  I will wait outside the town with Daniel, and I suggest that Og, Dakkon, and Nathan wait with me.  I would think that Starbuck, Annia, and Orloid would be the logical choices to go in.  But we can decide that when we reach the outskirts."

Whisper sets about to gather his pack and other things, then goes outside the cabin to call Swift to his perch on Whisper's shoulder.

BentonGrey

"I suppose that is the wisest council," Dakkon replied.

Lord Elcorion

Annia nods and moves to depart the cabin ((it might be a good idea to let everyone know how much cash they have on hand.))

Uncle Yuan

Orloid, too, begins stowing is gear.

"Unless you are all much wealthier than I am, I strongly doubt we can afford to equip the team with horses.  I suggest we focus on procuring a pack animal or two, but proceed on foot.  It would be foolish to use all our resources to buy mounts but then leave under equipped and provisioned."

BlueBard

GM: Whisper will consult with Ambrose and the others as to the best place to spend the night while we are on our way to Stuarton from Oakenhold.  Whisper wants plenty of time to make a secure camp before dark.

BentonGrey

Dakkon packs his meager belongings and stands imperiously before the door, awaiting his companions.

Glitch Girl

Whisper:

"Not many go from Oakenhold to Stuarton, and the ones who come from Stuarton... well, they tend to take care of themselves," Ambrose shrugs.  "My advice?  Make sure you post a couple of watches and hope there aren't too many rocks on the ground... Do be careful Whisper, I've got a bad feeling about this."

Everyone:

Nathan hs managed to stow all his belongings and goes outside and is cheerfully admiring the morning. "I'm ready whenever the rest of you are," he calls back brightly to the rest of you.

Daniel gives him one of those dark looks that most night people give to cheerful morning people.  He's dressed in his no-longer soggy clothes and the necklace is on his neck.  Considering he has nothing to pack, you'd asume he's ready as well.

Panther_Gunn

Seeing everybody making preparations to leave, and his breakfast uneaten, Og gets a very concerned look on his face.

He removes the cooking pot from it's hook over the fire.....with his bare hands, because he forgot temporarily that hot stuff hurts!  He is very quickly reminded of that fact as he moves the pot onto the floor close to his pack.  "ooh!  hot!  ow!  hot!  HOT!!"  The pot clangs to the floor, being dropped the last foot or so.  Og sits down on the floor, pot between his legs (not touching, but close enough to make others wince) and looks around for a spoon large enough for him to use.  If he doesn't find one, he'll dig in with both hands, and begin to literally devour the contents.
You may want to make a random roll to see if anyone's unfortunate body parts come too close to Brother Blutarski's .....er, I mean Og's, mouth.  You may even want to have everyone watching make Con checks to keep their own breakfast down.
About half-way through the meal (complete with various loud crunching, slurping, and gulping), Og stops, and addresses the occupants of the cabin, his head swiveling around slowly as he does, "Any-one want share Og breakfast?"

Lord Elcorion

i can spare a few gold. mabe 4 or 5, to provisions. we'll need to collect whatever other money is being donated before i and my two 'partners' enter town.

BlueBard

GM: Annddd... I guess I'll need to know the going rate for a score of arrows and a spare quiver so I know how much I can spare for other things.

Glitch Girl

Og's culinary skills are truly a sight none of you are likely to forget any time soon short of serious head trauma.  (everyone make sanity checks... wait wrong system).

Can I asume that you all say your goodbyes, back up and hit the road towards Oakenhold?

Whisper:
Arrows cost about 1 gold per 20 good arrows. Less, and they mightbe less than reliable.

YES!!!  Whisper's got point.  Keeping an eye out for Bad Stuff.

BentonGrey

Yep, Dakkon will let Whisper take point, but he'll stay somewhat close.

Uncle Yuan

Having quickly stowed his things, Orloid falls in step beside Nathan.

"Are you intending to join us, Nathan?  What is your current temple assignment?"

Glitch Girl

"If I can" the eager young priest replies.  "At the moment, I am doing my one year of missionary work before I am assigned to a temple permanently.  It's been... much different than I expected so far."

"Can your order assist in equiping you?  We'll be heading into very rough territory.  You should be armed and armored before we go."

Lord Elcorion

annia will take a position towards the middle-front of the party.

Glitch Girl

It is possible" Nathan says, "I suppose with a mission such as this, it can't hurt to ask."

And so, you all set forth towards Oakenhold.  Besides marching order, are any of you planning on doing anything special on your way?

BentonGrey

OOC: I'll sing, if that helps you any. ^_^

Panther_Gunn

As everyone is moving towards the door, Og quickly dumps the contents of a large coin pouch into his pack, scoops the remainder of "breakfast" out of the pot & into the pouch, ties the pouch closed, and drops it into the pack (with a bit of a wet *splat* sound).  He then proceeds to put the rest of his things, that he had to pull out to get to the "foodstuffs", and are now laying all around him, back into the pack.  He then shoulders the pack & the hammer, & heads out.

Og will take up a position next to Daniel, or just behind, if needing to go single-file.

Orloid is content to travel, chat and keep alert for trouble.

"Whisper, can you guide us around Oakenhold without being seen?  We should be very wary while traveling abroad so with Daniel."

BlueBard

Whisper will plan a route to Oakenhold that avoids the roads and sticks to the woods as much as possible.  He intends not approaching the town any closer than first sight of the walls and waiting in an area of relative cover if possible.

He loans Daniel his Elven Cloak.  "If we encounter soldiers, hide."

Lord Elcorion

Annia stays quiet, prefering to keep to herself, unless directly spoken to.

Glitch Girl

OOG: Sorry guys.  Between work and this flu, I'm having a hard time getting focused today.  Where were we...

Daniel takes the cloak and nods.  "Don't worry, you won't have to tell me even once."

Travel today is almost plesant.  The day is cool thanks to last night's storm, and aside from the mud everything is rather plesant as you tramp through the woods towards Oakenhold.  The air smells fresh and clean as after a rain, except for those of you downwind of the Ogre, in which is smells somewhat like whatever that was he made for breakfast  and other... ogre-y things.

OOC: Dakkon, are you going to serenade the group?

Nathan has little trouble keeping pace with the rest of you, and Daniel is doing well for the most part, though whenever he starts to drop behind, the looming presence of Og inspires him to continue on.  So far, the day is rather uneventful.

Orloid
Hmm...that's odd. Did you just see someone through the trees a few yards thataway?
Starbuck
Ah, the melodious call of the elusive Titwillow.  It reminds you of a song!
Uncle Yuan
Orloid begins casually unwrapping his bow while glancing in the direction of the figure
"A moment, Nathan.  I need a word with our guide." he says to the young priest walking beside him.  He begins moving up the line of people towards Whisper.

Viking

Starbuck seems to have received inspiration from the music of nature, and begins singing an odd little song, accompanied by his lute...

On a tree by a river, a little tom-tit,
Sang "Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow!"
And I said to him, "Dicky-bird, why do you sit,
singing Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow?"

"Is it weakness of intellect, birdie?" I cried.
"Or a rather tough worm in your little inside?"
With a shake of his poor little head, he replied,
"Oh Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow!"

He slapped at his chest as he sat on that bough,
Singing "Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow!"
And a cold perspiration bespangled his brow,
Oh Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow!

He sobbed, and he sighed, and a gurgle he gave,
Then he plunged himself into the billowy wave!
And an echo arose from the suicide's grave...
"Oh Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow!"

Now I feel just as sure, as I'm sure that my name,
Isn't "Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow,"
That 'twas blighted affection that made him exclaim,
"Oh Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow!"

And if you remain callous and obdurate, I
Shall perish as he did, and you will know why!
Though I probably shall not exclaim as I die,
"Oh Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow!"

Glitch Girl

Orloid starts to make his way towards Whisper.  Just as he's about to say something when...

On a tree by a river, a little tom-tit,
Sang "Willow, Tit Willow, Tit Willow!"

Orloid
You see movement from that shape again.  Definitely humanoid, possibly human, seems to have heard the bard's musical interlude
Uncle Yuan

Softly, in Elvish, "Whisper, I believe we are being followed.  I think it is only one, but perhaps you should go check it out?  I'll continue to lead the group along this course if you wish."

BlueBard

I nod and start looking for a place of concealment.  My intent is to hide and let our party pass; anyone following will probably come within sight of me... and within range of my bow.

Assuming I spot a likely place, I will reply to Orloid softly in Elvish as we walk along:

"Lead on, cleric.  I will lie in wait to see what follows.  I will discourage it.  If you hear me shout, turn and fight.  If you hear my hawk's cry, then the situation is dire and you should flee."
