Freaking Insanely Long Updater Time...

Okay, this is like the third or fourth night I haven't been able to play CoH at all because of the moronic updater patching like 2.4G of stuff insanely slowly.  I have high-speed internet, so it's not like I'm on dialup or anything.  Any suggestions for ways to get a faster updater time?  Is there a way to have it not do everything all at once, but maybe in small chunks?  I'm a savvy computer user, but not beyond normal user stuff, however my husband is a computer geek (hee, I mean IT guy), so if you need to get technical feel free and I will make him interpret.  Any help is appreciated.

Barring that, I wish these...(be nice, Jade)...people would come up with a better way to do this.  I do not remember having such huge problems in such short periods of time on EQ, FFXI (I think that was the number hehe), or WoW.  And coming so soon and often after having to suffer an entire day of updating after not playing for years...Well, this is driving me more than a little batty.

Help me, Obi Wan Kenobi.  You're my only hope!

I'm fairly ignorant on how COH handles anything right now.

sorry kitten :(

What I would do is load up CoH before you go to bed and let it update while you are sleeping.

isn't there a background loader you can set up that will work on downloads while you're not logged in to COH, but your PC is online?

I'm senile, and at work, so I could be wrong.. but I thought COH offered that feature now?

After you log out (not quit, you have to go back to the log in screen ) and then it exit,  the auto download thingie should start.

that's what I was thinking about.. I was looking for the setting to make it happen, didn't realize it was automatic.
