Is anyone else getting the "404 Not Found error" when trying to access FRPMods.com?  Just wondering.  MikeB7 was talking about the need to renew the domain name, etc., a few weeks ago, but I am not certain that it has expired yet.

As far as I know, it was renewed, but the site has been going down alot lately and Mike was gonna check on things the last time I pm'd him. Oddly, frp uses the same host that GPL used so...take that as you will.

MikeB7

Indeed, it's the same host as GPL was on, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence in me.  The last time I opened a trouble ticket, the site was back up by the time they looked at it.  I'll open another one tomorrow afternoon if it hasn't righted itself by then.

MikeB7

Ok, received a wonderfully outsourced reply.  Apparently, they've taken down their servers to upgrade everything.  I'll follow up soon if it's not back online.

Many thanks for the update, Unca Mikey! :)

Yay!

I don't understand the message at all, but the thumbup gesture is universally recognised as being A Good Thing so I take it that the site is on the mend.

From what I gather, Eyebrow, the new message means that the site is operational but not able to access its content.  It may mean that the site content needs to be uploaded again, including the forum.  My guess is that shouldn't be a problem provided that the MySQL database is intact.

In sum, we have the foundation for the possibility of FRPMods.com(/forum), but not the site content as such (the quidditas, if you will).

As of this moment, FRP is back up and fully accessible to all those who care.

I still can't get on. Is www.frpmods.com the correct url?

MikeB7

It just came back up for me today.  Takes time for the domain name repositioning or whatever to make its way across the world.  It should show for you soon.   :)

frp seems to be down again...at least for me.

Conduit

It seems to be fluctuating.  At least for me.  One minute it's up, the next minute it's down.

MikeB7

:banghead: Oh, who knows what the heck they're doing over there.  It's up one day, down the next.  The fact that it's loading the 'Apache is working' page leads me to believe they're still working on domains or whatever they were working on prior.  We'll see.

darkriminal

Is FRPMods permanently down? I've been trying to access it for the past two days.

you should have checked the actual update thread in the promotions forum instead of necroposting. It worked yesterday, but it seems to be down. If and when it comes back is up to...whomever. :P

MJB

Aw snap. Prev sure told you. :P

Locking necro-thread.
