dds converter crashes

I don't know why, but for some reason the DDS converter 2.1 doesn't work when I click on it. Is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

The converters has a penchant for not able to read some dds files for conversion, you can convert dds textures via Photoshop, import the dds file then save as tga.  I'll send you the plugin if you can PM me your email.

I wish I had Photoshop, but the best I've got is gimp.

Well, then, you are in luck.  If you use the gimp (2.0), then there is a plugin that will allow you to open and save to DDS format: clicky.
