I just took a break from WoW ('cos I hit 60) and I was gonna be really busy over the next few months but I've just seen this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WF_1Pk_4UZk
and I just found out that it comes out in the spring. So since I'm only 60, I've got some leveling to do. I may returne to Azeroth sooner than I intended.

However, the real point of this topic:

That trailer looks amazing, they've obviously made big improvements to the graphics engine and the new environments look incredible. I doubt my druid will become a Death Knight but the idea of a hero class is very cool to say the least. Looks great to me, I certainly can't wait!

wow at WoW!!

What do you think?

for the record, your druid, or any current class you might be playing, doesn't become the death knight. From what I understand, at least when they first announced this expansion pack, is that your high level character (your druid in this case) would do a series of quests to unlock the class. Then you can create a new character as a Death Knight, but this new character would start out at a much higher level (like 40 or 50 or something I think. Not sure). This is how I understood it anyways. I might be wrong, or they might have changed it, but I thought this was how it worked.

The game looks good. It's cool how so far Blizzard seems to be keeping with their word with the whole "a new expansion pack every year as long as WoW remains popular" statement. However, I'm not a fan of the constant level cap raise. Is it ever going to stop? I mean, what the hell is the point of doing any end-game stuff or getting high level gear at levels 60 and 70, when you know once the expansion comes out it will all become obsolete once you start doing quests to 80? Then to 90. Then to 100, until the cycle ends, if ever. Blizzard really should work on making things less obsolete once an expansion pack comes out.

That being said, this one does sound a little better than the last expansion pack, but the only way I'll buy it is if I can get friends to play with me, which doesn't seem likely, so I doubt I'll get it. I quit WoW a few months ago and I haven't missed it. It was cool getting to play two level 70 characters, but I don't really care to have to level up more. Sure, leveling up is half of the fun, but not once you finally make all the way to the top, lol.

Looking forward to it. My hunter's just hitting the BC content now... by spring I figure I'll be just antsy enough to be desperate for more content. ;)

I am taking a break from WoW....I have a had a 70 tauren druid since about 10 days after the expansion came out. She has just been doing whatever (I don't do many dungeons or end game content because people HATE my spec...bt I can just pwn them in PvP or in the race to lvl 80.) and was in the process of lvling my alts but I took november off to play CoH.....then December ill play both.

I figure, I have about half a year till the expansion comes out...plenty of time to lvl alts.

Yeah I am excited for it. They still haven't narrowed down how you get a Deathknight yet. They might not even have a quest at all but just give you one for reaching 80. Thats the last word froma Blue on the forums. Also since the upcoming patch 2.4 is the last content patch for WoW before WotLK we may see the expansion sooner that people were thinking. Anyway what server are you all on? I am on Silvermoon

TheMarvell

when I was playing the game, I was on Thrall.

Did you happen to play horde there? if so how long ago? I have a friend that used to play there on a troll hunter and moved her Nelf druid there as well

were you asking me? If so, yes, I played on the Horde on Thrall. Played on the Alliance too. I had/have a Tauren Shaman and a Nelf Druid. I started playing the game in July of '06 and stopped playing in August of '07.

Well so far what is known is that any account with a level 55+ will be able to make 1 Deathknight per server.

Lake Wintergrasp will be a PvP zone with a few PvE quests with destructable buildings, bridges and seige weapons

Inscription will be like enchanting for your abilities. they said you will get 6 inscription slots. 4 major and 2 minor - they said the minor will be "cosmetic" or minor so I am not exactly sure what it will do

Some of the talents look interesting. Mage and Paladin info is relatively lacking but some of the other changes such as roots working indoors now and a warrior talent called "Titan Grip" which will let warriors duel weild two 2-handed weapons

i have WoW tucked away somewhere in my room, but the big problem i keep having with MMORPGs is that right after i get one, i end up having big finacial issues (not becuase of the games though, oddly enough)) that force me to drop out prematurly. i was in WoW for 2 months i think, before the temp agency i was with started having trouble finding me jobs, and i just had to cancel my Conan subscription becuase a job i thought i was gonna have when i installed it ended up falling through.. CoH and CoV i had the longest at six months, cuase i was still working when i bought both of them, (CoV first, then CoH a couple weeks later)) and i activated each game with a seperate 60 day time card.
