NiBezierMesh?

Hi all, I have a question:

I opened the male_basic_hair_quicksilver mesh on nifskope and thus I encountered a "node" called NiBezierMesh and it did not load properly. Anybody know about this?

P.S I don't exactly know where to put this thread.

Yes....and no.

I encountered precisely ONE of these when The NifTools team, Tommyboy and I were doing massive mesh testing to get good FF/FF3R support into NifSkope.

The NifTools people raised their eyes in shock, IIRC, they'd never seen one before.

I pointed out they were not often used, in fact I think the creator of the mesh (sadly, I forget who, or even the mesh now) posted here (years ago) about experimenting with such meshes and being a little surprised/pleased they worked. I suspect this mesh is by the same mesher.

Sorry, but your best bet is to bring this up on the NifSkope forums or move on to another mesh.

LOL! Well I knew that you posted this in the niftools forum.
Sadly, It's not fixable.

I tracked down the mesh:-

male_basic_hair_receeding

I have no readme for the mesh, though it seemed to come with a spartacus skin by Ink. Thought of using it for my (unreleased) Silverfist Champions skin, till I found a more appropriate mesh.

BTW, both of these meshes are by Beyonder.  You may want to ask him about what he included in these models that would result in the NiBezierMesh data.  Perhaps it would illumine the folks at NIFTools to know what BYD knows.

EDIT: I was able to re-create this problem by exporting an editable patch with smooth extrusions to NIF.  I know not if such information would be useful to the good people at NIFTools, but feel free to pass this on.
