hmm really dont know what to think of it

Podmark

Your spoiler isn't working for me but I saw this when Newsarama posted it. At the moment I'm not big on it, I really liked the old one, but I'm excited about the stuff coming up in the book.

UnfluffyBunny

*sigh*
they need to release the TPB's faster, how delayed is number 8 >_>

[edit] I wrote 7 instead of 8

[edit 2]
well look at that... 8 is already out... I shall have to have words with my local comic shop

captainspud

Can someone else post a link to the costume? I can't find it on Newsarama.

Ehh. All they did was swap out the yellow. I'm not a huge fan of it, but at least they kept the basic design.

*shrugs*

lugaru

"I am a great magician... now your costume is BLUE!".

Spitfire

Hey, the guy may tire of yellow in his costume.

Anyway, it gives us an excuse to make another skin for Invincible.  :P

UnkoMan

Actually... I quite like it. To me it looks like just an older, more grown up version of his previous costume.

I just wish I could see it drawn by Walker, instead of Lee.

aj4life16

Don't like it. Its boring to me.

detourne_me

i like Omni-boy (i assume thats what he'll be called)   it seems like kirkman's taking the story from Spider-man's formative years to Batman and Robin's...  just preparing to get into full-on Superman mode when the Vitrulmites come to Earth and tell us to kneel before Zod, er, i mean Kregg!

aj4life16

He can now press 400 tons. If Superman is 9 in the game where would Mark be?

Use this thread for basis.

Carravaggio

Looks like a bad deviantart recolour. It doesnt help that the goggles look black in that pic. It makes Mark's whole costume ONLY black and blue, which is a tad boring.

Dr.Volt

Not much of costume change is it?  I mean, just more blue and darker goggle lenses.  Imho, Kirkman et.al. should do something really different if they are going to change his costume.  I would prefer they stay with the original look if this is all they are going to do.

But I do like Oliver's costume.  Yeah, Detour, I'm thinking he's going to either be "Omni-Boy" or "Omni-Lad".    Then again, it could just stand for "Oliver".   :P

Heck yeah, it's going to be a heck of a smack down next time the Viltrimites come back to Earth!

Hey also, for you Invincible fans, here's a heads up:

Invincible guest stars in BRIT #7...

Story: BRUCE BROWN
Art: NATE BELLEGARDE & ANDY KUHN
Cover: RYAN OTTLEY & KELSEY SHANNON
Edited by ROBERT KIRKMAN

GUEST-STARRING INVINCIBLE!
It's "Invulnerable" versus "Invincible" in a knockdown, drag-out brawl to end them all! Two heroes -- one old enough for social security, one not old enough to drink -- forced against each other. It's a story of strip clubs, giant robots and the terror from a transdimension!

FEBRUARY 13 - 32 PAGES - FC - $2.99

MJB

I miss the yellow in his costume but I didn't read Invincible for the snazzy costume.

Me love this series.

The new costume, as has been mentioned, is too dark and doesn't fit the mood of the comic. Then again, it may tie into whatever story Kirkman has planned. The original costume was classic.

re: Invincible vs Brit ... this should be a non-event of a fight. Indestructible powerhouse vs indestructible normal guy, although I'm sure Bruce Brown will find a way to even the odds. Cool cover.

Invincible isn't... well, invincible as much as Brit is. Brit shrugs off nuclear explosions, Invincible got his arse handed to him by an older one of his father's race. (Not saying that it was a fair fight, but still, Invincible isn't the type to shrug off damage like Brit can.)

I don't know if anyone's seen this yet, but I found the cover to issue #52 (another look at the new costume.)

Podmark

I'm liking it less and less. Too much to the same colours.

Yup, that and it also makes him look more like a villain then a hero.

Dr.Volt

That's a nice cover though!  Ryan Ottley does fantastic work!
