I install them and try to run them but they always never let me.

Or like now the Fantastic Four mod has no actual Icon to play. Any ideas why?

First of all, make sure you're trying to use a mod for the right games.   :ff: mods will not work in  :ffvstr:, and vice versa.

Second, the shortcut is usually in the mod's folder, or in the main game folder.

Oh I know where they are but ones like Fantastic Four don't have one.

Is there anyway to convert mods from each game?

I can pretty much garantee you that they do, you just have to find it.

At any rate, it's easy enough to make one of your own.  Right click on the FFX one for the appropriate game and copy and paste to get a copy of it.  Now right click again and hit properties.  Look at the shortcut in part and look for the part where it has the name of the FFX folder.  Replace that with the name of the folder for the mod you're trying to run.  Click okay and rename the shortcut.

Yes there is, but it requires a lot of work, troubleshooting, glitches and problems.  It's been done twice by three people, both experienced modders.  Trust me, you're not ready to tackle anything of that scope.

Damn.  :(

Thanks for the help.

if you're talking about my fan4 mod, then there is a shortcut in the folder. In fact, I hope you are talking about my fan4 mod since the other fan4 mod by foureyedavenger was for ff1 and definitely wouldn't work for ffvttr without some effort.

*if i'm recalling correctly, you have FFVTTR*

I was using the other one but your one worked.

But in all the mods I sue the characters lie flat on the face and move about like that. It happened with the Skrulsls o i quite.

Where are the .herofiles for your Thing etc BTW?

Mods don't need herofiles.  The heroes are built into them.

You can, however, create them easily enough.  Hit the characters button, find the built in you like and hit the "copy" button, name it and save.   Bingo, hero file created.

This may be the known issue with non-Irrational meshes when you have multiple copies of it at the same time. Try turning off all shadows in your video preferences and see if that fixes it.
