Will FFvTR Mods Work With The Demo Game?

I've always been curious- with a little work, would a mod for FFvTR be playable using the demo version for FFvTR?

this question has been asked several times and I'm pretty sure the thread is still up here unless it was lost in one of many crashes. General consensus was that it *may* be possible if the demo had the necessary files and all that jazz, but no one ever tested it out since, I assume, it'd be a waste of time since the game was cheap then and cheaper now.
