These sprites really look great!  :o Impressive work Deanjo!  :thumbup:

A typical capcom sprite, speaking of say the VS. Series is what 100+ individual sprites? Streets of rage seems to be around 60 - 80 for the playable characters and as little as 25 for enemies. Bosses probably are in the 40 - 50 sprites range. I also got curious and looked at some of the newer 2D games... like guilty gear & newer capcom vs games... good lord... they are like 200+ sprites for one character! Not even counting the effects for their special moves... yeesh...

This could be done but getting coders intrested in it would be hard seeing as the characters mean nothing to them :(

these sprites look pretty good, Deanjo, but I'm not so sure about UE's sprite. It might just be the image I see of UE's avatar in my head, so dont worry about it.

As for the game, it's odd how many times that idea pops up each year, but everytime it progresses more slowly than the last. I honestly think it's a "cool idea on paper" and not really something to pursue.  :unsure:

I totally agree about u,e im gonna redo him at some point he looks too boy'ish and im sure he is meant to be a much bigger guy???
As for the game well we can only hope ;)

I like the sprite, but i think there is room for improovemnet, especially the arm holding the sword. I would go for an iceman upper body, ryu's head, dunno which base for the pats, mmm... maybe a resized alex from SF3

flesheaters used to be a big guy mainly cause there was no other mesh option. try around the build of nightwing or spider-man. the sprites look cool, but i'd love to see where you plan on taking it.

actually it might not be completely impossible.  there is a video game art and design dept at The Art Institute of Atlanta.  I would imagine other schools have similar programs.  It could be an interesting student project.

seriously though, awesome sprites, and the idea of a Freedom Reborn arcade style sidescroller would be insane...you sprites do a good job of conveying an image to ones mind of how cool it would look/be.  ;)

I was'nt sure of vals powers but i know he does excellent mecha meshes so i did him riding one into battle ;)

That looks pretty good though I'm not so sure about the arm bracelet/gauntlet thing. If I remember correctly, they had a bit of gold in them and he didn't have shoulder pads, but I guess that's you being creative and it works. Anyway, Val's powers are similar to GL. He can create red constructs.
