If anyone is looking to join Paradox Patrol on Infinity, I hope to be online tonight (Monday, Dec 3) earlier than usual.  And of course some team-play is to be desired.  If we get more than 8, we'll break up into squads.

Modest amounts of influence will be granted to new low-level members to help get started, while supplies last.  Look for 'Voice of Wind' (Storm/Archery).

I'm interested in joining and I really liked the idea posted in the other thread about having a parallel universe version of a toon.  The only problem being that I need an already established toon to parallel.  I would need the toon's bio; keeping it the same for the first 1/4 to 1/2 and then diverging.  Also, what face type the toon has (the basic face should be the same since it's the same person).  Ideally, I'd like to have permission to use the toon's name as well.  Though the game technically prevents name duplication, it's absurdly easy to get around; which is why we had two Ms. Knockout's running around for so long (the good-looking one and the one gday made  :P )

Well... Only problem is, there aren't too many members as of yet.  And as far as I know, Tempus Fugitive hasn't been started yet.  So there's not a lot to duplicate.

Two solutions:

One, you play both the good and bad versions.  That way you have full creative control, but they'll never meet up in-game.  That would be a paradox, so that's not unreasonable.

Two, you come up with a concept and find someone else who wants to do it with you.  You can agree beforehand on how things will go.  Getting started is a little more complicated, but afterward you have the possibility of the two characters meeting up in either PvP or cooperative zones/missions.

I'm open to alternate versions of 'Voice of Wind' (to date my sole Paradox Patrol member, though I plan to add more) and you can check out my bio when I'm online tonight if you want.  This might be easier to pull off when the City Vault goes live, so you might choose to wait until then.

Did you want to parallel a hero or a villain? You could make a heroic version of the Anzac, one who wasn't "brainwashed" by the Theocracy of Flame after a cybernetic implant left him susceptible to such things, when he lost part of his skull to a mortar shell.

Well, I think the idea was to have alternate characters of roughly the same level on the same server.  At least that was my thought.  But however anyone wants to do it is fine.

Just to start with, I'm hoping that everyone who wants to participate will start new characters on Infinity.  Or at least, characters who are currently under 10th level or so.  I'm not opposed to making exceptions and having existing higher-level characters join, if they need a home.  At the moment, inflating the roster is a needful goal.

Part of the idea was to make room for the new Tankers/Scrappers/Brutes/Stalkers playing with the new powersets.  I purposely started a Defender instead so the new toons would have someone to team with, and I plan on adding others as need be.  Most of my Infinity slots are empty or emptyable.

One does not escape my Theocracy, Child.  One embraces it, or is consumed by its fire.

I have Golden-Starr (lvl 25 Blaster) in Paradox Patrol.  She's there just so we could reserve the name.  I want to add my new AR/Devices Blaster to the team: Captain Chronos.  Golden-Starr does't have to stay, although here backstory fits in with the theme of the group.

Joined last night on a Willpower\War Mace tanker named Home Run McGee. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to play much as Atlas was laggy as sin; I walked up to a group of 3 Hellions, waited about 20 seconds for the attack I triggered to fire off, ran halfway back to the Atlas statue only to be rebounded back, then said the heck with it and ran back to the statue to log out.

Home Run McGee is a baseball player born in 2071 who keeps getting tossed about in time but doesn't know how or why, sort of like Dan on Journeyman. However, McGee stays in one time period for a long time and doesn't know when (or if) he'll be tossed through time again. He's actually been a major league ballplayer in the 2100s, 1910s, 1970s and now. (1st baseman, if anyone cares, but he was a center fielder in the 1910s)

Suggestion...

Level your toons up to 10 or so then put on hold while everyone else catches up.  Then we can have some cool team play.  Voice of Wind is nearly there.

In a few days I'll put up the current roster so everyone can see who's there and where we're at.

I was thinking of paralleling a hero with a hero (just an alternate universe one).  With virtually indistinguishable names it would be a true paradox.  I would much rather imitate someone else's hero since they could then team together; thus making the paradox more amusing.  However, I don't want to parallel someone who doesn't want to be paralled.
