The Enigma

I recently read Alice in Sunderland by Bryan Talbot (of 2000AD, Fables and Sandman artistic fame). It was amusing, extremely interesting and enlightening and a fantastic read. Obviously if you're from the north of England, you'll get more out of it than if you live abroad, but even so, it's a fascinating discussion of Lewis Carroll, Alice Liddell, the Alice myth and of Sunderland itself. Highly recommended if you like your graphic novels to go beyond spandex and superpowers. Has anyone else read this at all? What did you think?
