Changing the Game "Scale"

As fun as it is to watch Galactus bash on Superman and Hercules, I seem to enjoy watching Batman vs the Eraser and Cluemaster a little more.  Today I was thinking that I should see how hard it would be to change the scale of the game so that there is greater variation in lower power guys.  The big thing, at least in my mind, is that I'd have to remove TThrow for M25AI, or at least change it so that the default value isn't 4, but instead 8, or whatever value I want it to be.  Alternatively, I could go into ffedit and change the weight of all the objects, and hit points.  If M25 AI would run a query for "can I pick up that" then I wouldn't have to mess with the TTHrow thing.

Since the game adjusts health based on the level of difficulty, I could move that around so that a guy like Cap, who would have a strength of 7 or 8 under this system, wouldn't KO everyone he it.  I'd have to raise the difficulty level by x, and I think the only way to determine that factor is to playtest.

So, my question is, are there any factors that you guys know of that I'd have to address or change to make this work.  I figure if I have a list, I can evaluate it to see if its something that could be done, or just spittin' in the wind.

Thanks

I tried to address this once by taking all og the bat-universe types and creating them on the 10 point scale...  Now this may not help you if you want to add ALL kinds of heroes not just the low powers...

I basically said - 'OK Killer Croc is the strongest guy I am going to have in the 'universe' I am working with and I don;t want his strength NUTS so I give him a 7 strength and everyone else gets (relatively) comparable strength next to his.  So Deathstroke is 5, bats is 4, Night wing is 3 etc

Strength was the hardest to do by far - the rest was easy...

If i decide that Deathstroke is the most agile person in the group he gets  a 10 - Nightwing and Catwoman get a 9 Bats gets a 8 Huntress is 6...  you get the idea.

It created MUCH more powerful characters, but only in relation to each other.  It wouldn;t work if you then tried to make Green Lantern, because his power ring would be no more powerful than Bane punching someone.

anyway I never went too far with it, but it might be something to thin about...

The only way I considered fixing the throwing/lifting issue was giving strong characters the 'clumsy' attribute so that they could have an 8 strength or whatever but not throw boulders and buses.

I wonder if characters with clumsy will still try to pick up ojects?  I'm glad it worked for you, that is very encouraging. I think I'll give it a shot.

The most powerful character I think I would use is probably Spider-Man or Power Man, who are strong, but not Hulk/Thing strong.  If the lifting limit were around 9 or 10, I think it would fit my scale fairly well.  The more I think about it, Spidey is probably going to be my strength, agility, speed, and endurance max (10).

Thanks again.
