Hey gang,
So for my drawing class we had to be "inspired by an image" and then do something with Photoshop.. incredibly vague assignment..
Anyways, I found this picture of a panda sticking its tongue out.. and, well, I guess it took off from there or something? ha.. anyways, each of these 8 images are individual Photoshop paintings; [the final (cropped) prints were 8"x10.5"], the original image was just used as reference.
The high-rez version can also be viewed HERE.

I think I'm getting better at this, heh..

Whatcha guys think?

The fourth in each set is very funny if you imagine another animal juuuuust below the frame. ;)

And now you'll never be able to look at them without seeing that.

You're welcome.

One "actual" thing I notice is that you've got the same problem I do with colour choice-- too saturated overall, and swatches that just don't work well together. For example, the background in Pan1, the ears in Pan2, and the paint in Pan3+Pen3.

I've been applying a "cheat" fix lately by applying a Hue, Saturation or Color layer to the entire picture with a small opacity (10-50%) to force everything into a common range, but while it does make the colours match better, it kinda washes everything out. I'm still looking for a good fix that doesn't require me to actually get better at picking colours. :D

The first three Penguin ones are great, though. :)
