Now, I'm pretty sure this isn't just me as my friend downloaded this map too and has exactly the same problem:

Town looks like a great map so me and my friend downloaded it - we tried it on multiplayer and single player danger room and still the same thing...

The floor is all black and I cannot move anywhere, there are civilians walking around and cars driving along its just I'm stuck dead still and can't move

Heres a screenshot:

If you are not aware this is :ff: and the map is for :ff:.

I am almost certain I have put it in the correct place:
C:\Program Files\Irrational Games\Freedom Force\Data\Missions\town

and the files inside are:

Ambience.dat
Mission.dat
Mission.mg
Mplayer.py

Also checked my console and theres no errors there.

Only mods I have are some custom meshes+skins, EZvoice, EZfx and some maps.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

ALSO - If you want the map to check it out for yourself its on:

My bet would be that its missing the terrain file.
Most likely explanation is that its using one of the "blank" terrains that gets installed with the mod tools for FF1.
A lot of the custom maps used these terrains.

If you haven't installed the mod tools, I'd try that and see if it fixes the problem.

Took a while for a reply but thanks, also can you see if theres a download link for these Terrains.

Clicky. (Of course, the site's bandwidth is exceeded...again...)

I would also add that, since stumpy put a good deal of work into it, you should read the extant F.A.Q.s available here since you seem relatively new to the game and its mods.  These documents will probably answer most of your (and quite a number of others') questions without the wait time.

EDIT: I've uploaded the old terrain pack here.  Perhaps that will fix the problem.

I downloaded it and Installed it, no difference. :(

posting your ff.log is a very good way to find errors, sir. Then we'd have more info to go off of.
