freedom force vs third reich problems =(

im using windows vista and downloaded the v1.3 patch and i got ff working BUT when i try to install ffvtr it says ''this installation package coult not be opened.contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package'' i really do not know what this means and i would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me.

So are you getting that error when installing the game or when trying to install the patch?
Because the 1.3 patch was for the first FF, so if you are trying to patch FFvTR I imagine it would through up an error.

I know people have installed and run the game under Vista.
So it SHOULD work.

And before you ask, there is no patch fo  :ffvstr: only for  :ff:  Fortunately, there are no crippling bugs, just a few mildly annoying, but easily ignored or worked around ones.  The black screen issue is the only bad one I know of, and even it can be worked around.

no it coms up only when i try to install the game (sorry i fogot to mention that) i had it installed a good while back on my pc (xp) and then after i uninstalled it ive had this trouble. its so annoying cos all i wanna do is just play the damn thing  :P
