The servers are down today for extended maintenance.  You think this means i12 is going live?

Considering that yesterday's post on the CoH boards announcing this extended maintenance is actually titled City of Heroes & Villains Live Update Tomorrow!, I'd say it most likely does.

RTTingle

Without a doubt, has to be I12... its showing all the usual signs.

Plus, it's been confirmed across the pond already.

Looks like I'll be picking up a timecard this week.  :)

BATTLE STATIONS! FIDDIES to the Imperious TF post haste!

Could someone please take over my son's account and get his villain to 50, so he can stop harassing me about getting a Crab Spider?    :D

BlueBard

Cool!  Should be live by the time I'm home and able to play!

I'm really looking forward to trying out a Sonic/Mental Blaster as a possible BlueBard.  I also have plans to try out an Earth/Thermal Controller and maybe some sort of Ice Defender...  Probably not all at once, but you never can tell. :)

AncientSpirit

Now this sucks!   I was working on getting Child of Vulcan AND my namesake up to 50 before I12 went live.  I got them up to 45 and 43 ... but I know I'm going to want to try out the mental case powerset.

The last time I left these guys in the lurch was for DB/WP ... and didn't stop until Blade of Zorro was 50.

Sorry, Ancient.  Sorry, Spock.  Maybe before Issue 13.

Yeah, it's i12. Login is unlocked and you can claim all your vet slots (and buy new ones) and fiddle around in the character creator.

El Condor

GhostMachine

Been reading over the notes while waiting for the patch to install, and found one change I'm extremely happy about:

Blaster / Devices / Auto Turret - Auto Turret for Blasters is now 'Gun Drone' -- it will fly, follow you around and fight at your side, much like Voltaic Sentinel. Note that enemies who use Auto Turrets have upgraded as well.

Gonna make Malta missions even more of a pain for some people, but I'm already 50, so what do I care?  :P

Meh - go unlock Cimerora and run Imperial TFs till you ding :P

NOTE: The Patch Notes are a MUST READ.

You're going to miss stuff if you don't...  A lot of powers and other stuff have been tweaked.  Some of the highlights:

- KB suppression vs players has been added to every power that does Knockback (as far as I can see)... so don't plan on repeatedly knocking your opponents on their keisters.  PvE apparently unchanged.
- Some powers' activation times have been increased to match their rooted times.
- KB protection in Acrobatics has been nerfed... so now there's even less incentive to take it.  However, it does now accept KB enhancements that will increase your protection (somewhat).
- All versions of O2 Boost now grant a Perception bonus to the target. (Great!)
- Powers that could only affect players on the ground will now affect all players above them as well as standing on them. (This is to fix a PVP exploit making ground based powers ineffective.)

I didn't tell you everything, so READ 'EM!

The Sewer Trial, "Descent to the Hydra" now functions like a Task Force where all high level party members (41+) will exemplar down to the Level 40 Trial cap.
Mairenn MacGregor is the NEW Sewer Trial contact and is located in Atlas Park next to the Sewers.  The Rikti kill task for Mairenn MacGregor has been lowered.
The OLD Trial contact, Maren MacGregor (in Founder's Falls) will complete any old Sewer Trial missions, but will not give out any new ones

Wow. I got those badges just under the wire. Now  that Trial is absoultely  impossible.

The sewer trial was never impossible (except maybe when the hydra's shield was invisible).  It only took a well organized team in which everyone knows what to do or a team that "cheats."  All the successful runs I've been on were because eveyone was well organized and the appropriate level.  It's a trial that's actually a challenge.

Well Organized team....heh.

"A well organized team in which everyone knows what to do"

The team needs offensive balance and timely coordination....
