Bug reports for EZhero 3.2

Alex informed me to make a new topic concerning any issues with his current EZhero editor.

Off the top of my head here are a few that I have came across:

-When sending file to text, if the hero file had a active defense I get a error "Run-time error "5"  invalid procedure call or agument"
-some of the information doesn't transfer correctly when sending a file to text either- sometimes energy cost,accuracy ect are off along with the power levels.
-Material types that are made in EZhero don't translate over in the game, likewise material types that are made in game don's show up correctly in EZhero.
-When ever I make up a sprint or speeding bullet power in EZhero with zero energy you have to practicly be right next to the target to use the move.  Now I know that might not be a issue with EZhero for in the game you arn't allowed to choose one of the powers at zero energy and you can't really choose zero energy in EZhero but there is a blank slot above "low" energy with in game shows up as zero energy.


Thanks for any interest in these or other issues Alex.   And despite these minor issues, this is still one of the more used tools for my game!

I've noticed that when I try to "Save As", if I change my mind and hit the "Cancel" button, it proceeds to tell me that is has been saved anyway.

was aware of the text file/actived one - I think I've fixed it.
Will post back when I've got a new version.

Did anyone note the weight issue with EzHero? I try to set the weight with it and in game they are completely different (usually three times what I want their weight to be).

I had just came across another issue on characters that I make melees from scratch with the hero editor.  When playing as them none of the melees work, they just run up to the targeted object and it looks like they try to keep moving into the target and never use any of the melees.    I fixed the issue by deleting the melee I made with the editor and re-create it with the in-game editor and everything worked fine then.

hasn't this been reported before? I thought it has. I remember responding to it once. TIME LOOP! :P

It sounds like the error is that the editor is messing up the melee values. I thought Alex looked into this...maybe I'm mistakened.

Yeah I reported that. I think to fix it you open the characters in the ingame editor and change the range boxes and hit ok.

The problem is that editor incorrectly sets the melee range, and resetting it in the game fixes the problem.

I might be missing something simple here, but what do you mean by "ranged boxes" for melee attacks in the in game editor?  Do you mean the arc degree?

Check that thread out. Funny, you actually posted there and got the idea for this thread there as well, lol.

Ahhhh, that post was 5 months ago, I barley remember posting in this thread yesterday! :huh:   Man.....I absolutly have no recolection of ever seeing that thread let alone posting in it (where is the old man smiley)

And to answer my own question.....yes I just had to click on the arc degree in game and the melees now work.
