I was having some matches today in the rumble room and put the Fantastic Four up against the X-men, using USAgent's hero files or course. When something very cool happened. Reed did some sort of direct attack on Colossus and Sue was able to knock him out with her force field attacks. I was like what the heck just happened? I checked out Reed's powers and USAgent gave him a direct attack he called "calculate weakness" with a genetic damage attack. I never used this type of damage before.

This got me thinking about Cap's ability to out think and find a way to beat much more powerful opponents. So I gave him a direct attack with genetic damage called "strategic genius". I tried it out in the rumble room and it works fantastic. He's not always successful with it but when he is, it is very cool to see Cap take down a much more powerful opponent. I think Steve would approve.  :)

And so Steve thinks for a way to take out a foe and bam! damages him? with what? Reed uses high tech and pda like calculations.. don´t take me wrong but there´s no sense for Steve to do the same.

Cap. A. is a field strategist and leader so a boost to team is much more appropriate imo.

For Cap I'd stick to either the attribute Coordinator or the rally the troops power, or both.

I don't know, I always think about that fight with the Hulk where he simply wears him down with constant judo throws...that is out thinking an opponent without any fancy equipment, and since we can't really reproduce it in FF, I think that genetic damage sort of fills in the gaps.

If you read almost any characters title you'll find a moment like that.
Not to say Cap shouldn't have an attack like that but I tend to leave it for characters whose shtick is finding those weaknesses or creating impossible solutions. Mr. Fantastic for sure, maybe Batman.

Another option is The Field Commander – the attribute with default settings was created with Minuteman and Captain America in mind.

Hmm I don't have Field Commander in my attribute list.

I started reading this thread and Batman immediately popped into my head, especially when he has already shown that he has calculated ways to take out his own team. It's almost a certainty that he has thought of ways to take out his enemies.

i was using a power like that for my more science-oriented heroes that i called "Plan B". i think it would be a good one for batman too, seeing as how he seems to always have a plan b.

my Cap has coordinator and a rally, i think those suit him better.
