Was Thor justified in "The Reigning"?

Thor returned to Midgard to rule over the humans and they revolted. Did they not know that their king had come? It was told in the bible that the son of God would come to save them. On page 18 in issue 7 of Thor, Odin reveals to Thor that he breathed life into man on Midgard. That would make Odin the bible's God or Yahweh. Since Thor is Odin's son that would make him the messiah. Then who was Jesus? Marvel has me confused.

Um, you do realise that these texts would be merely conflicting works of fiction.  It happens all the time, even within Marvel Comics.

Silly ow_tiobe_sb. Everybody knows that Jesus was a supporting character in Ghost Rider.

I think what the good Captain is asking is how can there be two distinctly different Sons of God in the Marvel Universe. My bet is that one or the other (or possibly both) is a Skrull. Or a rogue LMD (it's been a while since the editors have used that old stand-by).

Or an other-dimensional mutant clone!

I still think you will get more mileage from my answer. :P
