Valkyrie for FFv3R?

Okay, I have this Valkyrie mesh, and it has problems. After conversion to FFv3R, her cape is around her ankles, her sword floats over to one side, and se won't discuss where her scabbard is. Does anyone have a successfully conv erted Valkyrie (by Bobby69?) they could send to lonespaceranger@gmail.com? All I sould need is the nif and the keyframes.

That happens when you don't convert the keyframes too.   Try converting the keyframes and see if that helps.

I have a similar problem with this mesh, and I'm pretty sure I also converted the keyframes...

Have you checked the converted mesh in-game?  The readme talks of the sword and scabbard seeming disconnected from the mesh in CTool but seeming connected in-game.  Perhaps the same applies to CTool2.

HOWEVER, having examined the unconverted mesh, my best guess is that this mesh suffers from the conversion problem (even when converting keyframes) caused by the mesher's simply linking and not Physiquing extra bits (e.g., the sword, the scabbard) to the character mesh or, in this case, the various Biped sections.  I believe there might be a workaround for this, but the technique eludes my memory at the moment.

I suppose one could always import the nif back into Max and re-export for 3R.

One would have to know what they were doing for that, and THIS one knows nothing about doing that.

I believe that the most recent version I got came out of The Avengers Mod. I don't know where the others came from; I collected a lot of skins a few years ago, but stopped when I found out that the game wold not run on my computer (although the demo would). The text file says it is by bobby69, so one of his Yahoo groups, maybe?

Now that's the funny thing-this recent one had keyframes that were smaller than the other two, so I dropped the other keyframes in this one, and Shazam, she works. She still has the scabbard in a delacate place in Herotool, but she looks fine in the game.

That hacked up mesh was made a long time ago by interceptor and me. At the time honestly neither of us knew much about what we were doing and simply imported the ENTIRE bone structure and animations along with the cape to apply it to the mesh we were working on.
