Hmmm, I can't see your picture. Is anyone else having this problem?

I see it now. It looks very promising for your first skin. ;)

Very good for a first skin (worlds better than my current skins...LOL)!

Thanks for the kind words y'all ;) Here's Scotty of X-men Evolution under construction.

bat1987

Very cool. Both skins have a very cartoony feel to them!

murs47

Pretty darn good for some first skins. Can't wait to see more. :)

Cheers, that's what I was going for. They are, cartoon characters after all. Damn this is addictive, here's X-men Evolution cyclops finished:
Now I really do need some sleep. If anyone's intereted I'll upload it after some shuteye(and food and water )

Hey, i can see it now. Nice work! I like the almost cell-shaded look, but still quite realistic.

Looks promising! Keep up the good work.

Are the skins/skopes (they're skoped right?) 100% your work? It's looking pretty good if so. My only issue is that the colors look kinda dull and flattish, but you'll get better at that as time passes. ^^

Jean is based on the skin that came with the mesh whereas Scott is completely original apart from the fingers, which I couldn't be bothered doing as i deemed convincing fingers on a fingerless mesh impossible. I don't have the colours looking dull as I'm going for the cartoon look, hence the lack of detailed shading, I only shaded in what was missing from the mesh(his abs for example). Now what I do have a problem with however, is creating smooth lines. Nearly anything not horizontal nor vertical will end up rather pixelated. I realized I could use a higher res too late to start over. So is there a way to "anti-alias" the jaggies? Cheers

The most common way is to select the area you're doing using an anti-alias option (or smoothing the selection after the fact) but I find using vectors to create the shapes then using them as a mask works better for me

Same here.

Also I don't know if you are aware but there are tons of X-Men Evolution meshes by Beyonder out there somewhere.

Woah I found brilliant method of anti-aliasing!:

Just compare it with the last screen. Here's the aforementioned method if anyone's interested: http://www.phong.com/tutorials/anti-alias/

Yeah but those are rather sub-par if you're talking about the same ones as I saw. Oh and I've edited the mesh to make him taller(bloke's supposed to be 6 ft plus but most of the meshes have him shorter than jean!)
