Howdy guys, in working on the final campaign for the initial DCUG release, I've hit something of a snag.  I've been working on the map for the first level, the only one that needs tons and tons of work.  Despite having an excellent start on it thanks to HumanTon, I'm stuck.  I was changing the default textures of the map to create the sense of an alien world, and that was fine, as far as it went, but it seems that I can't find the texture files for several of the objects in the map.  Specifically, I'm looking for the skyscrappers of FF1 and the time machine of FF2.  I, of course, have the mappack FF1 files integrated into my Data folder, so it isn't that.  I simply don't know where to look, or what they might be named.  I've searched through the _textures folders in both my areaspecific and areaspeciff1 directories, but still nothing.  On a, I assume, related note, some of the objects for which I have found the texture files for are not displaying properly.  The nazi shield emitters and temporal amplifiers on the map, while being colored properly, are emitting particles that are merely pink squares instead of the lights that they should be.  The most ideal thing for me would be if someone would like to take a look at this map and see if they can sort out the few remaining missing textures, allowing me to work on the story, but I'd would certainly appreciate someone pointing me in the direction of the textures themselves.  Thanks guys!

One way of doing it would be to open the .nif in a hex editor. You should see the texture paths.  Should be about the only things readable.

Thanks Cat!  I don't know why I didn't think of that.  Ha, well that should show me to the textures for the skyscrapers and such easily enough, but any idea about the pink effects on the temporal amplifier?

Might those textures actually be in the FX texture directory?

BentonGrey

Okay, with some much needed help from Goggles, I managed to get this thing right!  On with the scripting!  Watch in amazement as my grades suffer! :P
