Title: spider-man saves child in Bangkok
Post by: Glitch Girl on March 24, 2009, 01:43:17 PM
Link to article (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090324/od_afp/thailandchildrenoffbeat;_ylt=Ak6ShBCxJ6jzdO3zxBRSGrkDW7oF)

Some very clever thinking on the part of the fireman, though the last line of the article amused me.  "liven up school fire drills"  I can only imagine.

You know what's great?  That kid is going to grow up knowing that heroes are real.  That's an encouraging thought.

They should've left that last sentence out, it would've been hilarious. It also would've been funny if he said, "Thanks, but I'm going to wait on Batman."

And whats wrong with that? What that fire fighter did was a "Super"heroic act. ;)

Haha, well, I don't see too much harm in that.  His world will be a little more hopeful for it.

It was a cool story - but I must say I think Yahoo's practise of attaching random pictures to news stories is very lame.  Mucch beeter with the BBC story and a real pic.
